- oda1, on 03/16/2009, -1/+54I like how the thumbnail is a geographical overview of Iraq. Just in case you thought it was the OTHER Iraq.

- FI5HERMAN, on 03/15/2009, -3/+45What a crazy world when a person can kill some one over a game !!!
- wtrwlkr, on 03/16/2009, -6/+38He shoots he scores!
- GeekNurse, on 03/16/2009, -5/+35Yes, it's less crazy when people kill each other over who has the better invisible friend.
- dodger2020, on 03/16/2009, -2/+30Well, I think "fan" is the wrong description.
- blackmesa, on 03/16/2009, -6/+29This striker tried to take a shot at the goal, but it looks like someone took a shot at him first.
*puts on sunglasses*
...YEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH! - marcomc, on 03/15/2009, -2/+21Was the sniper waiting the entire match just to stop this guy from scoring?
- 1iProd, on 03/16/2009, -3/+20What the *****, man.
- pinchduck, on 03/16/2009, -1/+14Why didn't the opposing fans return fire and put an IED on the exit gate? I tell ya, that country is going soft.

- Danltn, on 03/16/2009, -2/+12Dugg for Kaiser Chiefs reference.
- Jericon, on 03/16/2009, -0/+10So inappropriate... but it made me laugh.
- inactive, on 03/16/2009, -4/+13Its not as if this has never happened elsewhere (I'm lookin at you Europe).
- zuiquan, on 03/16/2009, -2/+11Yeah well most Americans still don't know where the ***** Iraq is so every little bit helps.
- inactive, on 03/16/2009, -14/+23Iraq is such a safe place now with democracy and all!
/s - Rodik, on 03/16/2009, -1/+9or a better hocus pocus book...
- BooLag, on 04/23/2009, -2/+10Maybe in your country, mate...
- thataceman, on 03/16/2009, -0/+8I don't know... Isn't fan short for fanatic?
- abcgi, on 03/16/2009, -0/+8"as police carry out an investigation." -> better get their best detective for this case, it's a real puzzler.
- redcodenl, on 03/16/2009, -1/+8You put ketchup on eggs!? Its a crazy world...
- lump1, on 03/16/2009, -1/+7Iraq is actually a pretty cosmopolitan place. Before the Iran war, they had a thriving middle class, good universities, a literary cafe culture, female doctors and scientists, modern clothes, etc. Wars can really ***** up a country, but don't confuse Iraq with Afghanistan. It's not historically a cultural backwater.
- inactive, on 03/16/2009, -3/+9How ignorant.
- inactive, on 03/16/2009, -0/+5Extremely inappropriate... this isn't hockey.
- orlyfactor, on 03/16/2009, -2/+7Shame the site was from the UK...
- crossmr, on 03/16/2009, -0/+5that's a pretty generic phrase..
- Rodik, on 03/16/2009, -0/+5it's a household appliance....
- KrustyTClown, on 03/16/2009, -2/+7Is there any hope for these people? I mean really, nobody can help them if they don't want to be helped.
- IHopeHeFails, on 03/16/2009, -0/+5This is a shame in more than one way. During the 2004 Olympics, soccer was able to unite the country as the Iraqi team did better than anyone had anticipated. The level of violence dropped dramatically (although not completely) during the run and the celebrations each time the team won took place nationwide.
- kelmaster1, on 03/16/2009, -0/+5you know, that shooter got a headshot when the guy was running. Probably the best shot of the game.
***** up... - kelmaster1, on 03/16/2009, -0/+5well, it is Iraq, so probably yes.
- passedoutghost, on 03/16/2009, -0/+5The Iraqis, apparently.
- wtrwlkr, on 03/16/2009, -1/+6So does spelling!
- DavidGuetta9, on 03/16/2009, -1/+5No, no, people and fans have been shot and killed before. It's happened.
- jtscira, on 03/16/2009, -0/+4Makes Raider fans look like alter boys.
- lootpack, on 03/16/2009, -0/+4i had to reply just to commend you on having a hilarious username
- palehorse864, on 03/16/2009, -4/+8You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
- kelstock, on 03/16/2009, -3/+7wow, so awesomely tasteless.
dugg - Squeetard, on 03/16/2009, -0/+4CSI Bahgdad, coming this fall to CBS!
- DivineLies, on 03/15/2009, -3/+7i think he misunderstood "12th man"...
- nomadxx7, on 03/16/2009, -0/+4Yeah he had a wager on teh game with the local gang. He needed to make sure he had a sure bet.
- Mnementh2230, on 03/16/2009, -1/+5And you thought the Italians were bad fans!
- thedivinelyevil, on 03/16/2009, -0/+4Read the article! He was "shot dead by a spectator as he was about to score an equalising goal". The game was about to end, but had not ended yet.
- DouglasQ, on 03/16/2009, -1/+5Actually it's just a yellow card.
They have a more relaxed attitude to mortal violence in Iraq. - deathmatch, on 03/16/2009, -0/+4That shooter was no fan
- crossmr, on 03/16/2009, -0/+4oh please. In the US they turn over a car and set it on fire. The crusades started because of a blown call in a game of handball.
- nomadxx7, on 03/16/2009, -0/+4And at Manchester U or Brazilian soccer games. Just seems that football fans are CRAZY in general
- drastik21, on 03/16/2009, -0/+3Chris Brown likes soccer
