- moondg29, on 12/14/2008, -54/+2382Nice reflexes there Mr. President.
- AHugeDeadWhale, on 12/14/2008, -19/+1608Reports indicate that the journalist was the sole attacker.
- Fyrezerk, on 12/14/2008, -62/+1452Who throws a shoe?
- Aaryn015, on 12/14/2008, -21/+1158Man, he dodged those shoes like a Vietnam Draft
- Bub978, on 12/14/2008, -10/+961Anyone else see the little smirk on his face after he dodged that first one? I think he was having a little fun.
- binky79, on 12/14/2008, -26/+849When you are as popular as Bush is, you learn how to dodge projectiles pretty quick.
- stubear, on 12/14/2008, -162/+973FINALLY, a journalist with integrity and backbone.
- MistaMatt90, on 12/14/2008, -6/+718I like how the secret service just pops out from that door in the back.
- RadInfinitum, on 12/14/2008, -19/+682"In Arab culture, the sole of the shoe is considered an insult."
What a strange culture. For a second there I thought it was an act of admiration. I'm so glad MSNBC cleared up that confusion. - MistaMatt90, on 12/14/2008, -7/+571Honestly?
- user04, on 12/14/2008, -59/+584Pretty much sums up his "legacy".
- ajresch, on 12/14/2008, -36/+540Well, it's a good thing they caught the shoe-icide bomber.
- psker, on 12/14/2008, -14/+493In Muslim culture throwing shoes is a huge insult. I love the smirk on Bush's face after he ducks the first shoe.
- holeepenguinpee, on 12/14/2008, -6/+442Sources indicate something was afoot before they could tie it together.
- tnerd, on 12/14/2008, -42/+447By the time Bush retires.. he will have a HUGE collection of cheap shoes!
- phyx726, on 12/14/2008, -17/+419If you can dodge a shoe, you can dodge an impeachment!
- Nairebis, on 12/14/2008, -7/+400That was exactly the first thought I had. The shoe dude threw it dead-aimed to the face, and Bush dodged it like a super-hero. You can see Bush's eyes in the CNN video... he's not even looking that way, and the time between glancing and dodging was amazingly fast, especially when he didn't even know it was coming. Then he just bobs back up, looking at the guy with a smile on his face, like, "Ha! Your puny throwing arm is no match for my super reflexes!"
Say what you want about Bush, but that was impressive. The dude was cool under fire. - museamongmen, on 12/14/2008, -2/+324It appears the reporter and Mr. Bush got off on the wrong foot.
- nosecohn, on 12/14/2008, -2/+309After which he got booted from the press conference.
- Lhandroval, on 12/14/2008, -26/+326This just begs for a ytmnd page. :P
- RadInfinitum, on 12/14/2008, -9/+305I think people are reading too much into this. Maybe his shoes were just really, really uncomfortable and he had to get rid of them immediately. I'm just saying, let's not cross this possibility out.
- LiquidIse, on 12/14/2008, -4/+296http://georgebushshoe.ytmnd.com/
- fjsferreira, on 12/14/2008, -24/+315HEADSHO(E)T!
- doublebummer, on 12/14/2008, -26/+299That guy is gonna get so much pussy.
- emazur, on 12/14/2008, -4/+265Animated gif here:
http://i36.tinypic.com/2uyod3k.gif - Ajajadude, on 12/14/2008, -21/+277Yes...throwing shoes at someone is so much more effective than uncovering the bad through journalistic investigations.
- apex1903, on 12/14/2008, -17/+271So you could say, that Bush has a size 10 approval rating.
- weech, on 12/14/2008, -9/+256It quickly escalated into the Arabic version of DONT TAZE ME BRO!!
- Guitarist970, on 12/14/2008, -71/+312If there were any questions about what the Iraqi people think of Bush.......here is the answer
- socomoddjob, on 12/14/2008, -27/+258cat like reflexes. nice.
- fish93, on 12/14/2008, -97/+312Finally, a journalist with some sense.
- HairyGinoblis, on 12/14/2008, -169/+370Props for the Iraqi that did what our American journalists should of been doing long ago
- myklee, on 12/14/2008, -0/+199If he caught it, the guy would have been out.
- krueger038, on 12/14/2008, -1/+200I was almost expecting Bush to throw one of his shoes back at the guy.
"Shoe Fight!" - user04, on 12/14/2008, -30/+229Time for American journalists to take note of "asking the hard questions."
- pinstripewizard, on 12/14/2008, -1/+198Leaving barefoot, the journalist experienced the agony of d'feet.
- birthofthecool, on 12/14/2008, -2/+196HEYOOOOOOOO!
- inactive, on 12/14/2008, -16/+207At least Dana Perino got a black eye out of the deal.
- Spawn2105, on 12/14/2008, -61/+249I was quite dissapointed, i was looking forward to see him take take a shoe to the face
- Spawn2105, on 12/14/2008, -10/+189Too bad he's probably already on his way to Gitmo to eat a cockmeat sandwich
- TeamoSupremo, on 12/14/2008, -11/+180"This is a goodbye kiss, you dog"
- Maddoktor2, on 12/14/2008, -26/+193"It'll take more than a couple of shoes to knock some sense into that moron."
- G.Bush Sr. - murdermeelmo, on 12/14/2008, -1/+165My god, Bush is a ninja.
- nikpappagiorgio, on 12/14/2008, -29/+190Does this mean we are going to attack Iran now?
- Quakee, on 12/14/2008, -11/+170Who ever said Pres. Bush was slow?
- deeboe, on 12/14/2008, -40/+197Another angle: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pIwLJtqoxBs
- okayokayokay, on 12/14/2008, -20/+172"I'm all right." I gotta hand it to him....
That was pretty well played, for a douche. - julesbond007, on 12/14/2008, -10/+160I think in Arab cultures beating someone with a shoe is the worst thing you can do...it's a big symbol of disrespect in those cultures...remember when people were beating Saddam's fallen sculpture with shoes?
- temporaryescape, on 12/14/2008, -2/+145"Heh heh this poor little journalist has no idea what we will do with him now."
- neilyn, on 12/14/2008, -0/+141I noticed the smile. "seriously dude?"
