finlandforthought.net — Accomplished Iranian film director and Finnish newspaper mogul Alexis Kouros is suing me for 9,800 euros over copyright infringement and libel on my blog!! He claims that I am liable for all negative my readers have written about him - this case is one of the first of it’s kind, not just in Finland but in the world.

- conniereece, on 03/02/2008, -0/+1I don't know the particulars of this case, but I'm concerned about bloggers being held liable for comments left on their blogs.

- dtele, on 03/04/2008, -0/+1If you provide a place/medium for people to publish their opinions, and an opinion defames or libels someone, don't you think that they should have a recourse for correcting that? I dont know all the particulars of your case, but in the publishing world, this does happen. Best thing you can do is stop publishing something that could wind you up in court/debt. Good luck.
