Iran warning to US and Israel

- jayakamonty, on 07/08/2008, -1/+5Afghanistan and Iraq would be walks in the park compared to a war with Iran. There is no way the US could sustain a third front on terror by attacking Iran. Their resources are overstretched as it is and Iran's capabilities of striking back are far greater.

As a nation whose number one export is oil, Iran has hugely benefited from increasing energy profits spurred by geo-political tension. Similarly, GWB's Texan Good Ol' Boy network of oil execs sure haven't objected to destabilization of the region either.

If they attack US shipping lanes in response to an attack on their nuclear facilities, I can guarantee that between Israel and the US, Iran won't have an operational air force within a day. The US may not be able to occupy Iran because it is overstretched on the the ground, but the US army/navy/air force is still a behemoth.

If Israel goes to war with Iran, the US can not stiff its only ally in the middle east. Remember that Ahmadinejad denies the holocaust and would like to erase Israel from the map. If we allow Iran to do this, we will be next.
