Iran thanks the brave American soldiers! Part 2
americangoy.blogspot.com — In which article I explain why the surge is such a big "success", why ex Saddam thugs, Hamas and mujahedin are now American "allies", exactly what is meant by "Iraqi" government and how American politicians and officials are clueless idiots (but you knew that already). Real news analysis you won't get on American propaganda TV networks.

The Awakening is a desperate attempt to arm a Sunni army at American expense before the real party starts - bsmeteronhigh2, on 09/08/2008, -0/+6Living in a nation where sound bites have replaced intelligent discourse, we can expect more of the same. When our politicians make clever remarks for the sake of a chuckle, one would hope these same elected officials would realize their decisions impact the lives of our soldiers and the nations we would seek to change in profound and often unintended ways.
- angeladtao, on 09/10/2008, -0/+1Sadly, what is said in this article is mostly true. However, I don't believe that Obama sees this situation in the simplistic terms that
other American player do. He has a much more thoughtful approach to both foreign and domestic policy. In this modern age when there is so much media coverage, you'd think that there would be ample opportunity for the real views of the politicians to get out in detail. Unfortunately, the opposite seems to have happened. Sound bites do replace thoughtful discussion, and no one wins. If real truth actually creeps out accidentally, be sure that the other side will twist it until it means something ominous. You can see in this clip from the O'Reilly Show with guest Barrack Obama that Sen. Obama is trying to explain that there was more to the decline in violence in Iraq than the surge. However, the Reps continue to demand an apology from him for opposing it since they attribute ALL of the decline to the surge. Obama knows better, but O'Reilly is determined not to let him explain!
