- tehbored, on 10/10/2007, -28/+359Too bad Bush is too much of a pussy to accept this invitation.
Also, I love how everyone was so pissed because Ahmedinejad has financial ties with terrorist organizations, because America has sponsored (and actively engaged in) far more terrorism than Iran. - whorelock, on 10/10/2007, -8/+231Oh man, imagine the comedy that would stem from a Bush speech in Iran. I would pay to see that!
- schrutefan, on 10/10/2007, -6/+145Think of the poor interpreters who'd have to translate his incoherent ramblings into Farsi.
- urbandistrict, on 10/10/2007, -6/+115If Bush doesn't go he appears weak and If he does, he'll prove he's weak.
Hand well played Iran. You win this round.... - FreakyD, on 10/10/2007, -14/+88Now why would he go there when the bombs are about to drop?
- baronvonnasty, on 10/10/2007, -12/+81He should speak over there. He'd make their IQs drop from the sound of his voice. Thats what he seems to have done with our country.
- Identity4, on 10/10/2007, -10/+71It sounds to me like Ahmadinejad is doing everything in his power to remain sane and civil throughout all this name calling and national *****. Makes Bush come off as the stubborn madman, doesnt it?
- SuckMyDigg, on 10/10/2007, -3/+63Imagine Bush getting up in front of a hostile crowd that was prepped with the opener talking about how he was the biggest piece of ***** ever. It would never happen, and it's hard to even imagine it, but I bet Bush would lose his cool faster than he can squint his eyes. Iran's president remained cool throughout his entire ordeal in America. Being called a terrorist by Bush via a news interviewer was about as low and cowardly a situation a president would ever face on a domestic trip to another country, but he still handled himself very well.
- chase001, on 10/10/2007, -2/+62Hilarity ensues whenever Monkey Boy tours. Did you see his gig in Australia?
- Albionshores, on 10/10/2007, -15/+73And that's based on.....conjecture and tittle-tattle.
Meanwhile back in Iran Ahmadinejad has received some much needed praise for his willingness to go to America. We all know why it wouldn't be reccommendable for Bush to return the courtesy. Whilst I am not particularly an Ahmadinejad fan one must admit that he can hold himself in an interview, even when he doesn't know what questions will pop up. Bush can't do that even when he has an idea of what is going to be asked.
Frankly, Bush speaking in public has become a liabilty for the Administration. - EntropyMan, on 10/10/2007, -8/+54I think Amadinejad's suggestion is brilliant. "Bush Bombs Iran" should refer to the speech, not the munitions.
But Amadinejad should go one further: promise to get rid of all of Iran's nuclear materials if Bush will give this speech and successfully pronounce 'nuclear' at least once during that time. - physphd, on 10/10/2007, -2/+42You mean Austria?
- quaxon, on 10/10/2007, -1/+39not only is bush too much of a pussy to accept this invitation but bush is too much of a pussy to even speak at a university here, in america, without a pre-selected crowd, able to question him with real questions and not fluff ***** he's had someone else answer and phonetically spell out for him.
- hraza84, on 10/10/2007, -4/+34Who is the president, teh secret service has no authority to deny his order, if he wants to go (not like he has the balls) then they can only make sure he is protected. if he can go to iraq then iran is much safer. unlike how americans treat a guest and president of a foreign country in iran he wouldn't be insulted in public. that itself speaks volumes to the culture of iranians
- meachen, on 10/10/2007, -5/+35Bush will be doing his victory speech from an aircraft carrier soon.........Mission Accomplished
- pintomp3, on 10/10/2007, -4/+34bush can claim we don't have gays in our military.
- maverex, on 10/10/2007, -15/+44Ahmadinejad is a decent guy. Even though he doesn't like gays, he still is more intelligent than Bush. Let alone all this talk of war and he has the balls to come to a University in the US and answer questions, and give somewhat partially open minded American students a basic grasp of Iranian society, even on the brink of war.
On another note, Bush should goto Iran. I hope they do something to him =D - Dumbledorito, on 10/10/2007, -2/+31There needs to be a Bush "Misunderestimated" Tour t-shirt, with dates, locations, and quotes down the back.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -8/+37I would give up my life to see this! Iran’s “childrens” will love to ask questions, too.
- quaxon, on 10/10/2007, -2/+28has bush even spoken at an american university without a pre-screened crowd, allowed to ask questions that arent obvious fluff and slanted *****? in other words has bush ever been confronted with a tough question since his presidency started?
- phauwn, on 10/10/2007, -2/+28From Article: He faced tough questioning and the university's president introduced him by saying Ahmadinejad exhibited "all the signs of a petty and cruel dictator."
Yea... all the signs except the fact that he was democratically elected. - dougbarrett, on 10/10/2007, -2/+26I'll pay for Bush's plane ticket.
- GawtMilk, on 10/10/2007, -1/+25There are two things I fear of Bush's visit to Iran:
1) Making a fool of himself.
2) Getting assassinated, causing Cheney to take power and ignite the powderkeg. - MonkeyHugger, on 10/10/2007, -0/+23Bush won't do this for one simple reason. He is an awful public speaker. He couldn't stand one question on the spot nevermind hundreds of them.
If he accepts I will eat my own shoes and put it on youtube. - Sp4nk, on 10/10/2007, -3/+24Do it for the childrens!
- DiggzDE, on 10/10/2007, -1/+21I don't get it. Why the hell are people being so unbelievably hateful toward this guy. I understand that certain things that occur in his country may be considered terrible and inhumane, but you must consider that they have a completely different type of law and government over there. This guy is trying very hard to keep diplomacy between countries and is trying to show that he would like to work with them rather than fight with them. Yet everyone is so blindly upset about things almost unrelated to current topics at hand that they can't even see it. Instead, they go grab their torches and pitchforks and start screaming for murder of the monster. Lets take the opportunity to talk and use it, not shut him out and shut him up. Why oh why are people so damn stupid?!!!
- pintomp3, on 10/10/2007, -1/+21when i saw the ahmadinejad speech at columbia, i just thought to myself "i wonder if bush has ever had this kind of intro and these kind of questions". every single one of bush's events are so staged, from the screened audience and pre-approved questions to the protest containment, that he wouldn't know what to do. even the 60 minutes interview; if our media asked tough questions of our own leadership we might not be in iraq today.
- pintomp3, on 10/10/2007, -0/+19most iranians hate that, but he has a loyal conservative base that he is pandering to. sounds familiar, doesn't it?
- spyd3rweb, on 10/10/2007, -1/+19Bush... make up answers to random questions on the spot... UNPOSSIBLE!
- Albionshores, on 10/10/2007, -1/+19Of course he has proof numbnuts- the middle eastern media. You don't need anonymous blogs or furtive back alley friends. You can just read an English speaking Iranian/Middle Eastern news report. Of course that means venturing away from Fox for a bit - sure you have the constitution for it?
But fear not Don Quixote you needn't venture as far as you might think....

http://uk.reuters.com/article/reutersEdge/idUKNOA6 ... - copaceticZ, on 10/10/2007, -3/+21I get a wierd feeling like he'd have to bring the whole army with him to that speech.......send cheney :)
- AdamGeld, on 10/10/2007, -0/+18Bush will only speak in front of selected reporters, selected US military, and selected employees from companies who have CEOs who have donated money to him. Even then, he will only answer selected questions.
Bush would never, ever, ever speak in front of an audience that he could not carefully control. He never has, and he never will. - pintomp3, on 10/10/2007, -0/+18we already do.
- counterplex, on 10/10/2007, -0/+16Yeah, at the OPEC summit. It was priceless!
- c0n724ll10n, on 10/10/2007, -1/+16"Think of the childrens"
- AdamGeld, on 10/10/2007, -1/+16The president can do whatever he wants to do. The people elect the president, not the secret service. The secret service are under orders from the president. If the president doesn't go to Iran, that is only because of his cowardise and would be an admission that he has no confidence in the secret service to protect him. He has nothing to hide behind but his own cowardise, and I assure you he will.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+14Safety schmaftey.... Please let him go to Iran..........I'd love to see A.) what someone might do or B.) what kind of fool they'd make him look like in a non-staged interview.
Bush is a moron of the highest caliber. Ahmadinejad at least came over and made an attempt. Of course we won't all understand where he's coming from and neither would all of Iran if Bush went over there. Bush would embarrass this country even more than he already has. - felman87, on 10/10/2007, -0/+14I would totally buy those t-shirts. Is our children learning? Childrens are learning.
- fLUx1337, on 10/10/2007, -1/+15Todays Lesson: Sniping.
- davrobi, on 10/10/2007, -2/+16The emperor will not step foot on any soil until it is subjugated.
- hraza84, on 10/10/2007, -1/+14that would be one hell of a safe bet, for iran that it is.
- AdamGeld, on 10/10/2007, -0/+13Too bad American children are breed to hate the world and told others hate us "because we're free".
- stolenisotope1, on 10/10/2007, -1/+14NEIN! There are no Kangaroos in Austria!
- Identity4, on 10/10/2007, -0/+13ok, I admit neither President has very a very good sense of morals, but what it looks like to me is that the LAST thing Ahmadinejad wants is to engage in war with the US. Where as all i see here at home is the drumbeat of war, and media smearing him and his country as terrorists and human rights violators. I dont want ANY war! But Bush sure seems to want another one. Im just building off of what i see and hear. I may be totally off! It is just an opinion.
And please, I understand and respect YOUR opinion, but please dont refer to me as a dumb *****. The immaturity of your petty name calling hurts your argument. - iticu, on 10/10/2007, -6/+19Not solution, but he has it coming.
- ZenMojo, on 10/10/2007, -0/+13Bush doesn't give a ***** about much at all. Which is why everyone hates him.....
- jumbalia, on 10/10/2007, -11/+23and just to add: sure it's disgusting that Iran has been said to have executed 4000 homosexuals since the Islamic government took over. But with over 700,000 dead Iraqi civilians and a conservative estimate of 5% of a population being homosexual; that's 35,000 homosexuals killed by American soldiers... Just something to think about
- ciaran036, on 10/10/2007, -3/+15If he does not accept, George Bush will officially be number #1 ***** president
- IbnDigg, on 10/10/2007, -1/+13Bush is too much of a pussy to go, he was too much of a pussy to sit there and listen to Mr A's talk at the UN, but i tell you what, if he did go, the Iranians would treat him more hospitably than Bolinger did.
- AdamGeld, on 10/10/2007, -0/+12A likely excuse. But an admission that our government is weak an unable to protect our president. It is also an admission that Amadinejad is braver then Bush, because he visited our country.
