- tizz66, on 10/11/2007, -1/+36Welcome to the UK, enjoy your stay.
- djspanky, on 10/11/2007, -3/+24That's so gloomy a trip to Neverland Ranch would cheer you up.
- Reno582, on 10/11/2007, -0/+19Can't wait for the Edgar Allen Poe theme park, all the fun of being buried alive but none of the dirt or worms.
- CanceledCzech, on 10/11/2007, -4/+15I must agree with Mr. Dickens. For I was born and raised in America, and not once in the past 17 years of my existence have I encountered an "American Gentleman."
- Klarth, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6Actually, putting an apostrophe in Dickens' name is significantly worse.
- richminx, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6It was the best of theme parks, it was the worst of theme parks...
- zanvann, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6To news websites,
PUT ARTICLES ON ONE ***** PAGE.
Sincerely,
internet users. - luke16, on 10/11/2007, -2/+8Ive been there, they charge too much...
- skabyss, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4I sit and wait for the H.P. Lovecraft themed park set in Insmouth.

- b3mus3d, on 10/11/2007, -2/+6Did you know about this theme park before? I doubt it.
Therefore it is news to you.
Now quit the ***** whining or get out. - gemlarin, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2It does not have very good reviews. Even Wikipedia shed some negative light. I stick with Alton Towers thank you.

- ColonelJessup, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Bah, humbug..........
- bwayne1, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Sorry, that's not at all the strangest theme park:
http://www.greatwhitesnark.com/2007/05/28/top-10-upcoming-theme-parks-for-geeks/ - SWMpls, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Nice one.
- DrTaco, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1my vote goes to Holy Land in Waterbury CT. Its an abandoned theme park based around the bible. It even has catacombs. It has been described as disney land for the damned. If you ever travel through waterbury, its easy to spot, just look for the giant cross standing on the hill, its hard to miss.

- invertedtwisted, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Yeah, Alton Towers is probably one of the best ways you can spend the low, low price of only £32 per person inside the UK.
Although as long as the place is quiet when you go, I'd say it's worth the money. - SWMpls, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0How about KafkaLand? Animatronic roach suits for everybody!
- DoctorLovePhD, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1I was going to say the exact thing about Lovecraft Land. "Non-euclydian geometry, intergalactic monstrosities, and fun for the whole family!"
- wolfdangler, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0The Park was a complete let down. The Re-enactment actors were awkward when dealing with modern people (trying not to offend, and being kid friendly), There are no prostitute reenactors.
There was a long line to get into the Haunted Mansion - an hour wait. The payoff was a miserable set of films projected onto mirrors and glass over a set to give the illusion of 3D. Boring.
I love Dickens and his work, but this park is bad. - STARTSOMETHING, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1looks like a dive
- elkboy, on 10/11/2007, -1/+0I dunno... I might vote for "The Lost World of Sid and Marty Krofft" as the gloomiest theme park ever. Something about that "Krofft Supershow" back in the 70's that mad me a little uneasy to watch... remember "Doctor Shrinker"?
I think most people were unaware that the Krofft's even HAD a theme park in Atlanta because it didn't last long.

/yes, of course they were high when they built it... did you have to ask? - brnwrig1, on 10/11/2007, -2/+0i've been there
