This Austrian madman confined his Autrian children/grandchildren in an underground concentration camp/gas chamber. This Austrian monster even put three stars of David on the cellar wall, and threatened to gas his Austrian children/grandchildren. I also heard this Austrian creep wore a star of David necklace when he vacationed in Thailand, while his Austrian children/grandchildren were back in their gas chamber with their stars of David, but that's unconfirmed. -

I think it is clear what is going on here - his lawyer has stated that he is going to be pleading insanity (or whatever the Austrian equivalent is).
This is just him laying the groundwork for that insanity plea. The lawyer can now point to this statement and say something like "Clearly, your Honour, my client is nutty as a fruitcake." -
