They prefer Stalin's method of making history what they want it to be. There was no internet in Stalin's time so he was able to control what propaganda people were fed. We the People can now converse coast to coast in a matter of seconds thanks to the internet. Sure, a story can be buried but it is still generally seen by thousands prior to that happening.
