- supersonicjim, on 11/09/2009, -0/+12I think they should give hurricanes vicious animal names like mustang and cheetah, instead of old lady names.
- JYoungest1, on 11/09/2009, -1/+7Man I am moving back from Tampa to Chicago when this ***** thing is going to hit!!! Wonder if I can drive OK in it through the central part of Florida? Well if I don't log back in Digg, tell your moms I love them.....
- yocouchdigga, on 11/09/2009, -0/+6I agree but I'm going to have to 1up and say they should have "epic" names, like "Malagdor, The Destroyer".
- pstroll, on 11/09/2009, -1/+7here comes an oil spike
- MOJIRA, on 11/09/2009, -0/+5They save those for Apple operating systems. It's law.
I think we should name hurricanes after historical tyrants and serial killers. Who wouldn't gtfo the way of Adolf Dalmer? - Aeroboy, on 11/09/2009, -1/+5Wooooo! El Salvador!
- MOJIRA, on 11/09/2009, -0/+2I'll be sure to check in on your account in a few days. If you continue posting after the hurricane passes, I'll know that you've been killed and the hurricane is using your digg account--the proper authorities will not be contacted, but I will make a motivational poster of it somehow.

- djnikadeemas, on 11/09/2009, -0/+2Hwow! That's the name of my first girlfriend.
- DubSnipe, on 11/09/2009, -1/+3I wish my country had more amusing stories to share with you, Diggas. However, this situation looks bad. I'm actually going out tomorrow to diagnose the situation so we can build temporary homes for some people. If you feel like warm and fuzzy enough to donate a respectable organization so they can provide shelter and food for these people, you can message me and I can give you some ideas. Remember, it's not only the fact that 54 people died, but many more lost their homes, and some are at risk of losing them as you read this --you know how these things are.
- medost, on 11/09/2009, -0/+2Mate, there will be change within hours when such disasters occurs.
- Ineedanap, on 11/09/2009, -1/+3Here comes another gasrape.
- Hartley1942, on 11/09/2009, -0/+2Fantastic, a week before I head down to help rebuild from the last big one.
- camilos007, on 11/09/2009, -0/+1Poor El Salvador. From poverty, to civil war, to daily gang murders to hundreds of killings caused by natural disasters.
I wish I could say, "hang in there, things will get better". But you've heard these words hundreds of times in the past.
As an expatriate it hurts to see my old country suffer so much. I wish I had an answer for you. - Akairenn, on 11/09/2009, -1/+2Dugg for 'tell your moms I love them'.
- DubSnipe, on 11/10/2009, -0/+1Right now there are 125 as they keep finding victims.
- spiderworm, on 11/09/2009, -0/+1An update from The Onion: http://www.theonion.com/content/video/hurricane_bo ...
- clouds31, on 11/09/2009, -1/+1God dammit I have lots of family down there. :(
- niselat, on 11/09/2009, -1/+1whoa! that blows!
- GauteHauk, on 11/09/2009, -1/+1I live here. State of emergency? A bit touchy about hurricanes now, aren't we? I mean, it's not as if we've never been hit before, especially by anything more powerful.
Yes, I realize this is a bit dismissive, but for *****'s sake, I can't count the number of hurricanes I've been through. Bad stuff happens, mostly closer to the coast, we all move on with our lives. - ScooterNRocket, on 11/09/2009, -0/+0Why does the story say 90 odd and the digg title say 54 ?
- IIECONII, on 11/09/2009, -17/+5I'm burying every single one of these Digg "current story" polls, or whatever the ***** they're called, out of spite.
Opt out anyone?
