- agitate, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5For conyers, he's sucking up to his constituent.no doubt.
- Glynth, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Question: Do you think the airline passengers in this "flying imams" case were bigots? And if so, why do you make such conclusions despite all the evidence piling up everywhere against these imams and CAIR?
Frankly, I'd rather have the slim chance of abuse from "bigots" than the abuse which is guaranteed to happen by the likes of these imams. The leader of this group ran a terrorist-funding operation "charity," you know. - pintomp3, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1sweet, i can't wait to start reporting people who look different than myself.

Imagine some of the muslim haters from digg on a plane, like appleann1, loneranger85, sonofdy1, analyze, etc. All the haters.
Imagine them on a plane with some of the folks they hate.
What's to stop them from abusing this and making accusations to a steward? Why, nothing. And it will be damn hard to punish them for false accusations.
Are stewards qualified to determine whether a passenger is a threat? Nope. So the person accused is dragged off the plane, the accuser flies onward.
No legal recourse for the accused.
This MIGHT be ok if records are kept and accusers have to sign something, but that isn't the case.
That being said, of course people should be free to speak up when they have REASONABLE suspicions. But bigots tend to use this sort of wiggle room to ply their bigotry.
We'll see what happens. I'm banking on the bigots.

What is Digg?
