- phishdoctor, on 06/11/2009, -2/+32My uncle, a pilot for PIA was staying at the hotel and sadly was one of the ones killed. My family is obviously extremely distraught and quite shocked. What did this attack prove? Whats the point? What was accomplished? Nothing.
- RicardoWilliams, on 06/11/2009, -1/+21sad..
- LeanneOHare, on 06/11/2009, -1/+11The taliban have trhived on public support. Their supply of arms, ammo, food, as well as financial support and lines of communications have been made possible through locals sympathetic to them. The taliban are now losing the only public support that they had left. Afghans had turned on them a few years ago, Punjabis and Balochs have never liked them due their persecution of Hazaras, and now the last ethnic group that was sympathetic to their cause of a taliban-ruled Afghanistan is suffereing horribly because of them. FATA being constitutionally autonomous, has always supported militias against the Pakistan Armed Forces in any internal conflict. But now even these Pakistani Pashtoons are supporting the Army and the taliban are getting desparate. The last thing left to do is cut off the drug money supply that comes to taliban from Afghanistan and the arms and ammo that is supplied by RAW. I am sure the ISI is working hard to counter and stem the RAW activities, and our coalition in Afghanistan is gaining ground on the drug war. It's a matter of time before the taliban is reduced to nothing more than a street gang.
- mtjohnson, on 06/11/2009, -3/+11very very sad..
- aLuckyStar, on 06/11/2009, -3/+11very sad..
- inactive, on 06/11/2009, -0/+8It's a shame that we take something as valuable as knowledge and find some way to ***** the world up with it, one day at a time.
- edrodgers731, on 06/11/2009, -1/+9I think the Muslims are winning the race.
- Blajano, on 06/11/2009, -1/+7Oh ***** hell, will this ever stop?
- viol999, on 06/11/2009, -0/+6Calling those people bastards is an insult to bastards.
- serif69, on 06/11/2009, -0/+6It has something to do with religion. Islam has become something of a nationality, the same way Judaism has. Christians don't often identify themselves as Christian when asked their nationality, whereas Jews and Muslims often do. We're not talking specifically about devout members of a certain religion, rather those who identify themselves as belonging to the larger group of people to whom that religion is a part of life. And in this instance, some of those people seem to have an irrational hate of all things "Western".
- Dalhectar, on 06/11/2009, -2/+7Thus the battle between Baby and Raptor Jesus continues.
- staffa, on 06/11/2009, -0/+4The sky is also blue.
I don't think they gave a ***** if their government had granted them the right to indiscriminately kill innocent people in such a manner.
I find your phrasing odd, it is so specific. Do other people have the right? Did they have the right to do it in a different manner? Would it have been ok if the victims were not innocent? As it was a hotel catering to westerners, was it really indiscriminant? And how do you know they were not born to wedded mothers, that would be rather unusual for that culture. - Coobster, on 06/11/2009, -3/+7the problem is extremism. . .not religion. Take any ideal, add a pinch of extremism and you've got a recipe for disaster. To blame the ideal and not the extremism is plain ignorance.
- sentinel106, on 06/11/2009, -5/+9Those bastards, they have no right to indiscriminately kill innocent people like that!
- viol999, on 06/11/2009, -0/+4And Christians will be out protesting against these criminals who would try to hijack Christianity for their ***** up ideology. Just like all 3 Muslims who are out loudly protesting against their religion being hijacked. right
- MattB123, on 06/11/2009, -1/+5Exactly, I said it up higher but I'll say it again. The extremists are all basically the same regardless of which god they think they are killing for.
- sockpuppets, on 06/11/2009, -6/+9That'll buff right out.
- kamendex, on 06/11/2009, -15/+18this has nothing to do with religion...
what the ***** are christians anyway? the religion of peace that kills abortion doctors and rampages in holocaust museums? - Stillmatic3, on 06/12/2009, -1/+4May Allah bless the soul and give your family the patience to overcome this loss. As for the attack, it proved nothing but the fact that it's not religion that's the reason behind this situation; it is those individuals and their mean nature using religion to cover up their ugly intentions. They just don't have respect for humanity!
- thundaboltz, on 06/11/2009, -1/+3is this seriously getting dugg down? im loling here
- dark2025, on 06/11/2009, -0/+2Gazelles have lions, rabbits have foxes, flies have spiders, and we have ourselves.
- inactive, on 06/12/2009, -0/+2i thought it read "hotels booming in pakistan"
- HBZ55, on 06/11/2009, -0/+2No, they know there is going to be Pakistani civilians getting killed, but they don't give a *****. Those nutcases think that the end justifies the means, the end being stopping the military offensive in Swat valley, and they show no regard for civilian lifes. The reason probably is that most of those guys are thugs who came from other muslim like Saudi Arabia or Libya, and what they usually care about is money.
- neoform, on 06/11/2009, -1/+3One enables the other.
Religion teaches people to believe insane things, this enables extreme insanity. - n064, on 06/11/2009, -0/+2Sad for all the innocent people who were killed because of a crazy lunatic who thinks hes doing right. Doesnt matter if hes Muslim, Jewish, Christian...people killing people is just wrong, for religion or not.
- TheGreatBelow, on 06/11/2009, -0/+2It's pretty clear that they are trying to send a message.
First the Marriott, now the Pearl. Those are the two best hotels in Pakistan. - jbird32275, on 06/11/2009, -2/+4Why are you being dugg down?
They must not get the CSI Miami reference.
I'll help you out...witty comment old chap! - mabbasc, on 06/11/2009, -2/+4I hope that McDonalds is safe
- wolfing, on 06/11/2009, -0/+2doesn't even have to be religious. It can be race, politics, nobility... extremism is not exclusive to religions
- panlion, on 06/11/2009, -3/+4As of recent times, who are doing all the killing though?
- JustinNoland, on 06/12/2009, -0/+1Then maybe Islamic leaders should speak out condemning the actions of those who kill in the name of their god, instead of sitting passively like they always do?
- MattB123, on 06/11/2009, -0/+1Actually they do. This is the terror in terrorism.
- MattB123, on 06/11/2009, -4/+5The extremists are all basically the same. It doesn't matter which god they murder for.
- LeanneOHare, on 06/11/2009, -4/+5If by Religion of Peace you mean Islam, you should know that no Islamic organisation recognises the taliban as Islamic. Their twisted version of the wahhabi sharia is labelled extremely unislamic. So troll all you want, you're not fooling anyone with any amount of intelligence.
- jjohnstn, on 06/12/2009, -0/+1Security camera footage of the bombing:
http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=418_1244626805 - Hetman, on 06/11/2009, -6/+7The other religion of peace has been running around and shooting innocent people in America. So I would be careful to make such broad generalizations.
- CoD4, on 06/11/2009, -0/+1not for the bomber, he's looking at 25 to life in heaven
- ADifferentUsern, on 06/11/2009, -2/+3haha. Oh man. Now we're both going to hell, thanks.
- jbird32275, on 06/12/2009, -1/+2If you go to the middle east you take your life into your own hands. Besides thousands died today, no reason to be all negative.
That was a funny ass David Caruso joke! - Maddoktor2, on 06/11/2009, -2/+25. Round up all rightwing extremists and drop them in FEMA Concentration Camps.
- Jhardeman4, on 06/13/2009, -0/+0bombings are getting really old... some parts of the world need to get an evolutionary clue
- nightowl76, on 06/11/2009, -1/+1Only silver lining in these slides...cute air hostesses
- inactive, on 06/12/2009, -3/+3Indian funded terrorists are responsible for this.
- benr12, on 07/03/2009, -0/+0it is so sad thing,the poor people there........
http://www.e-jiudian.com - BotchaMcCoola, on 06/11/2009, -1/+1If it does our war stocks will not be worth much. Wave that flag and keep the wars going. Borrow more from the Chinese, you fine patriots.
- dalexandruz, on 06/11/2009, -2/+2If we only had a device that can create holograms. Create holograms of jesus, god, alah, budah, L. Ron Hubbard( yeah more ridiculous, lol) coming down from the sky and telling people to stop freaking killing each other. Nah, it wont work, they won't give a ***** because it's not about god it's about their ***** super ego's.
