    The total dead in a few camps are being revised downward by the official Auschwitz museum in Poland.
    Number of Auschwitz Victims Was also Revised

    It was accepted for many years after the war that about 4 million prisoners died in Auschwitz Concentration Camp. That figure, which originated with the findings of the Soviet commission investigating Nazi crimes, was based on accounts by former prisoners, fragmentary records, and crime-scene investigation at the site. In 1983, the French investigator Georges Wellers, a former Auschwitz prisoner on the staff of the Center for Jewish Documentation in Paris, extended his research to include documents on the number of deportees to the camp and concluded that about 1.6 million people were sent to Auschwitz, where nearly 1.5 million of them died.

    In 1992, Dr. Franciszek Piper, director of the Historical Research Department at the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum, published the book How Many People Perished in Auschwitz Concentration Camp, in which he stated that at least 1.3 million people were deported to the camp and that about 200,000 of them were transferred to camps in the depths of the Third Reich, with the remaining 1.1 million or more dying in Auschwitz.

    Two figures of the number of Majdanek victims have usually been in use—360,000 or 235,000. Kranz, director of the Research Department of the State Museum at Majdanek, asserts that approximately 59,000 Jews and 19,000 people of other ethnic backgrounds, mostly Poles and Byelorussians, died there. Kranz published his estimate in the latest edition of the journal Zeszyty Majdanka.

    According to this law they should be in jail.
    I do not understand why this particular subject is off limits to discuss.
    • meuse, on 10/02/2008, -2/+8It's off limits for genitiles to discuss. Funny how when the Auschwitz figures were revised from 4 million to 1 million, the "6 million" figure wasn't revised as well. Did the Jewish groups even attempt to give an explanation?
    • n0gnuz, on 10/02/2008, -2/+9It's off-limits because it threatens the interests of $100 billion Jewish holocaust industry. I'm sure the victims and their families are more open to the discussion, since they haven't gotten a dime. I'm sure the Europeans who have had their assets seized by Jewish organizations whose lawyers demand that any unclaimed account be considered (1) having been formerly owned by Jews, and (2) the rightful property of Jewish organizations claiming to represent the "general Jewish community" are also open to discussion.
    • USNavyBlue, on 10/03/2008, -2/+6I have a question (I may regret asking especially with the trolls always lurking), however not all people that died were Jewish, there were Orthodox Christians that died in large numbers too.

      But we still really don't know what those numbers are of the Orthodox Christians. Do they not count? Not much in the way of history is ever taught about this in the public schools. The public school only focus on the Jewish people. Why? This is wrong and one sided in my opinion. The whole truth and nothing but the truth should be told for what it is, period. No fabrications and no distortions of any kind.

      I had a relative that died in the Poland camp (Orthodox Christian) that we still know very little about the surrounding circumstances. In addition, my great Uncle and Aunt survived the Poland camp, but don't know how he died either as they were separated from each other at the (not by choice) time in the prison.

      The so called pay out from my understanding is to Jewish people only? This has to wrong or I am incorrect in my assumptions?

    Who the hell cares what someone DENIES or does not? It's dumb to send someone to prison over this. This type of Orwellian law is creeping into the USA. What happens across the pond, as they say in Merry Ol' England, except they are not merry anymore because of tyrannical laws such as these, will OCCUR here. There is a bill already in the house on banning "hate speech" or incorrect thoughts, that means what ever feel like. If you blink they will force this down our throat, but what's new lately? Everything them heehaws in Congress do is unconstitutional these days.

    Now that is just plain dumb to make a statement that the Holocaust is a myth. There is too much evidence to prove otherwise. But really, to send someone to prison over it needs there head checked.

    Isn't this what the Nazi's did? Send people to the camps because of speech they deemed inappropriate? Hypocritical monsters is all I can say. The nations that are persecuting people on the grounds of incorrect speech and thoughts have forgotten that previous generations in their nations gave there life in WWII to stop this! What the hell are they thinking or NOT?
