- inactive, on 03/12/2008, -5/+163If her lips are sealed, how can she be a high priced call girl? ;-)
- apc3161, on 03/12/2008, -9/+122Am I the only one who looks at this as says, "what the hell was the federal government doing wiretapping people's phones trying to police prostitution"
Ok, if its "terror" related and they have a warrant from a judge, fine. But I just can't believe our federal government is involved in crap like this. In my view, prostitution shouldn't be a crime. It's voluntary action between two parties. This is nothing more than the religious right "holier than thou" creating laws that suit their beliefs. If anything, this should be a crime dealt with by state police. But not the federal government. What a waste of time and money.
In my personal opinion, this is a problem between this man and his wife and family. Nothing more, it's a non-issue.
I mean, a top commander just resigned apparently because of conflicts that arose between him and the president with regard to Iran. That should be on the news right now. Not this *****. The Iraqi war is projected to cost 3 trillion dollars. That is a story. Our economy is on the brink of collapse, the dollar is becoming worthless, that is news. What the hell is going on in this country?
I'm 22 years old. Has it always been this way? Or am I just beginning to beginning to realize it these past few years. I feel as though the vast majority of this country is insane. Where are the priorities? - inactive, on 03/12/2008, -2/+84At those prices you can't afford NOT to ***** them.
-Lewis Black - IveGotTheRuns, on 03/12/2008, -3/+69I'm 31 and I still don't understand it. This whole thing reminded me of this great quote...
"I don't understand why prostitution is illegal. Selling is legal. ***** is legal. So why isn't it legal to sell *****? Why should it be illegal to sell something that it's legal to give away? I can't follow the logic. Of all the things you can do to a person, giving them an orgasm is hardly the worst. In the Army, they give you a medal for killing people; in civilian life, you go to jail for giving them orgasms. Am I missing something?"
- George Carlin - mogebier, on 03/12/2008, -4/+56I know a few girls that would do things that would make a porn star cringe, for $4300/hour.
I really need to win the lottery :( - ToMZiLLA, on 03/12/2008, -8/+59damn, i was beaten to the sealed lips joke
- jeebusroxors, on 03/12/2008, -3/+38Q: What do you get when you pay a prostitute $4,300? A: Non stop coverage on every 24 hour news channel, articles that will attempt to lure the everyday man away from his awful life with promises of sex and high priced hooker talk and a burning sensation when you piss.
- john2kx, on 03/12/2008, -2/+33Thanks for being subtle about it.
- jmpeagle, on 03/12/2008, -1/+30even worse:
FTA
Venkatesh said his research showed that, in more than 40 percent of the liaisons between johns and prostitutes at this high price point, no sexual intercourse actually occurred. "It's an expensive conversation" in some cases, Venkatesh said. "It happens a lot more than we think." - maskedm564, on 03/12/2008, -1/+30Ah, its nice to know that someone can make more in an hour ***** than I do in 2 months fixing computers.
/sarcasm - KyleRayner, on 03/12/2008, -6/+32"the promise of an unusually attractive, intelligent companion"
In all fairness, those are hard to find. This is America, after all. - Homerr, on 03/12/2008, -2/+27Pics, video? I need to see what $4,300 looks like.
- haydesigner, on 03/12/2008, -1/+26Read some of the stories. They originally thought it was money laundering/bribery, and had no clue it was actually prostitution.
Once the warrants were signed off on, they couldn't really stop the investigation. - pintomp3, on 03/12/2008, -5/+26prostitution should be legal, regulated, and taxed just like any voluntary activity for adults. same with drugs.
- novask, on 03/12/2008, -2/+22Well I've seen those two girls eat ***** and vomit into each others mouths so what else is left?
- petebot, on 03/12/2008, -2/+19Yep, that's what it says in the description. well done.
- owen87, on 03/12/2008, -1/+18if im paying that much for a girl she better have some special tricks,
Maybe she could ut on a magic show while we have sex: how to make 4300 dollars disappear.
Or maybe just teach me college level physics. i cant say id be paying much attention, but its about what im paying for school and i barely pay attention as it is. - CaptShmo, on 03/12/2008, -3/+20spend 4300 on guitar lessons, join awesome band, enjoy groupies for free? *shrug*
- jessethouin, on 03/12/2008, -7/+23Sealed around what?
- Ndiggnation, on 03/12/2008, -1/+16Plenty. If it exists, it has been said, there is porn of it somewhere on the internet.
- linga99, on 03/12/2008, -1/+16Why is prostitution still illegal in the US - and so much resources put towards stamping it out?
Why couldn't it be de-criminalised, and the resources put toward other more significant crimes. Then health checks on workers, age etc could be more readily made and monitored - protecting the girls and clients.
Many other civilised countries recognise that protitution is not going to be stopped. Better that it be acknowledged and controlled, rather than just try to sop it. That won't work. - DrunkenSavior, on 03/12/2008, -4/+17$4,301 for a blowjob?
- brokencode, on 03/12/2008, -1/+14WTF?
- mindvise3, on 03/12/2008, -3/+15Good, because you probably didn't have the choice anyway.
- wilf_brim, on 03/12/2008, -0/+11Charlie Sheen had a great answer for this. "I don't pay them for sex. I pay them to leave after." Also, above. With at least some relationships, if I sat down and figured out how much I paid per orgasm, it would have been frighteningly high.
- krackajap, on 03/12/2008, -0/+10Because getting it for free is more expensive than paying for it.
- lisaawesome, on 03/12/2008, -1/+9What am I doing in college? Clearly this is where the money is.
- justintsmith, on 03/12/2008, -1/+9One $4,301 blowjob.. or 4,301 $1 blowjobs? You decide.
- MattB123, on 03/12/2008, -1/+9I would, but I'm too cheap to get HBO.
- Herrold, on 03/12/2008, -0/+8If you are familiar with Spitzer's tenure as NY State Attorney General you would understand. This guy prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, leaked information to the papers, and dragged a lot of people through the mud. He referred to himself as a "F'ing steamroller".
If you are going to create that sort of persona and go on diatribes about illegality, and prosecute prostitution rings, throwing the book at everyone involved, you can't then get busted in that same circle.
If he hadn't been AG and not built the history he did with prostitution rings, I might agree with you. But what happened to him is the epitome of irony.
He had to resign. His primary tactic was calling people out. And when people learned he wasn't backing up his own talk, he had to walk. His word became a joke. - YEEK, on 03/12/2008, -0/+8$4300 an hour is only $73 for one minute. If she's that hot, all I need is one minute.
- rvandy, on 03/12/2008, -1/+9Can you imagine the uproar from the religious right if a measure to legalize prostitution were raised? Its illegality ensures its secrecy, and they, as its major clientèle, would be exposed if it were made legal.
- serend, on 03/12/2008, -1/+9I want to meet the man with the $430 a pound hook-up of something worth buying.
- Sneezyx, on 03/12/2008, -1/+8A chic what?
- fani, on 03/12/2008, -5/+12Dude - they were'nt expecting prostitution. Your points are fair, but unrelated to the case.
They happened to land up on his prostitution looking for source of illegal money transfers.
And yes, I have a problem when an elected official runs off to get blowjobs and throws money on prostitutes instead of spending time reviewing the economy or other state matters.
His private life is there, but somewhere a line has to be drawn. - offspring06, on 03/12/2008, -1/+8If only I could get it for free.
- Rotzooi, on 03/12/2008, -0/+7How about $250,000.-?
"Detective Steven Schwalm of the D.C. police department's prostitution enforcement unit said some call girls charge $250,000 for a weekend getaway where the woman provides "sex on demand." - krackajap, on 03/12/2008, -0/+7Ahh good old rule 34...what great times we've had together...also the reason i have no fond childhood memories anymore.
- snotrokit, on 03/12/2008, -0/+7in the execution of a warrant for the investigation of a crime, another crime is observed, they have full right to further prosecution and request additional warrants to any additional crimes that are discovered as a result of the first warrant. Granted the rules of search and seizure do apply. If they are looking for a stolen car, they really can't go through your refrigerator.
- JoshuaLowe, on 03/12/2008, -2/+8What the hell kind of chocolate costs $4300 for 10lbs?
- ridium, on 03/12/2008, -0/+6It wasn't blanket wiretapping that caught him. Suspicious financial transactions gave officials a reason to monitor him. They were actually looking for money laundering.
http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?story ...
Funny thing is, it was was Spitzer who insisted such monitoring be put in place. - riflepoet, on 03/12/2008, -0/+6We really should be talking about this http://www.esquire.com/features/fox-fallon
- blackinthmiddle, on 03/12/2008, -1/+7It must be that the decision not to have sex is mutual. Maybe the guy just wants her to walk around in a maid's outfit or something. Who knows...other than the Johns, of course.
- Ndiggnation, on 03/12/2008, -1/+6Chocolate Thai?
- inactive, on 03/12/2008, -0/+5$550 plus tips gets you two girls, and one hell of a time at a asian spa in Connecticut.
Inheritance money well spent. - allengeer, on 03/12/2008, -0/+5They came down on him because he started transferring lots of money from account to account. They flag this to keep big corporations (and small ones) from skirting transaction taxes (which are based on the total amount of a transaction). It's good they do this.
- BabyWookie, on 03/12/2008, -0/+5What would make a porn star cringe these days? Cutting her legs off?
- lagartoflojo, on 03/12/2008, -2/+7No blowjob. Her lips are sealed.
- largepork, on 03/12/2008, -1/+6Buried for poor grammarianship.
