- Napoleone, on 10/10/2007, -3/+14NBC Contact Info: http://universalsports.nbcsports.com/nbcolympics/c ...
Take a minute to visit the above link, and let NBC know that you'll boycott their Olympic Games coverage if China doesn't exert real pressure on the military rulers in Burma. To give you an idea of what to say, below is what I wrote.
"Dear NBC; I write this note to inform your network that unless the Chinese government exerts real, demonstrable pressure on the military Junta in Burma (Myanmar), to show restraint and stop the killing and imprisonment of monks, men, women and children; as a form of protest against the Chinese government, I will be boycotting your coverage of the Olympic games in China." - ilikevag, on 10/10/2007, -1/+12And how do you suppose NBC will go about stopping a tyrrinical government from oppressing its people?
- Napoleone, on 10/10/2007, -1/+11We all need to act as a witness to this.
I don't know which television network will be covering next year's Olympics in China, but I'm going to find out, and I'm going to write-in and let them know that I won't be watching ANY part of the summer games unless China puts real pressure on the Junta.
Please do the same. And spread the word. - grd23, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8great digg! read my colleagues blog as well, http://tsismax.blogspot.com/2007/09/myanmar-blogge ... about the things happening at Myanmar as well as links to Burmese bloggers. more power digging!
- grd23, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5cintek, digg users are not only composed of Americans you moron. your apathy is what puts a bad reputation in an otherwise decent country that is worthy of admiration. go on living your life of comfort and luxury and not mind the 3rd world countries.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4I'd like to take the opportunity to thank all my friends who responded to my shout today. You've done a great job and got this to the front page for the world to see.

- kefs, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2anyone feeling like upping to scribd? @ work :(
- supermanred, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2It will be once again soon.
- moragos, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2This kind of attitude is very wrong, the best example I can give you is the attack on Pearl Harbor.
Like it or not - we are all part of the same world, and although you don't think it effects you directly, every little thing that happens in this world, especially big things like the falling and rising of nations effects the US greatly. - keef06, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2http://www.scribd.com/doc/340026/burmareport-24sep ...

You know it is the ultimate stupidly of man to think he can change the world through murder. Little does he know that by doing so he may be giving rise to the very man that will rid the world of him.
Thanks for the article. Have a great day. - Yarin, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1another mirror, very fast: http://rapidshare.com/files/59132519/burmareport_2 ...

http://www.viagra-pills.info - Napoleone, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1Money talks. And it's bad publicity. China has a lot at stake in next year's Olymics. It's in China's interest not to get on the bad side of the media outlets who will be covering the games.
- sanman, on 10/10/2007, -3/+1It's ironic that nextdoor to Burma, there is another horrible anti-democracy crackdown going on by a brutal tyrant:
http://www.time.com/time/world/article/0,8599,1666 ...
These events are happening at the exact same time, but the international community wants to downplay any attention on that. This is because Musharraf is a so-called "ally" in the War on Terror, and so he gets to be as anti-democratic as he likes. Meanwhile, the international community -- particular the holier-than-thou West -- will selectively pay attention to Burma while blatantly ignoring Pakistan. Blatant hypocrisy.
Lawyers are being beaten and bloodied in the streets, but Uncle Sam smugly turns his eyes away.
How do you spell "*****"? A-M-E-R-I-C-A - endora123, on 10/10/2007, -6/+1I thought it wasn't called Burma anymore...?
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -8/+0How do you suppose YOUR MOM will go about stopping a "tyrrinical" government from oppressing its people?!
- cintek, on 10/10/2007, -14/+1Why the ***** should we care about what happens in another country. Does it affect YOU directly?? NO! Tired of hearing you whiny people cry & snivel about what goes on overseas in some obscure 3rd world country. Take the time to put down your latte while your on your new cell phone & look at what is going on in your own backyard. If some dictator wants to kill his own people then let him. IT'S NONE OF OUR BUSINESS, AND IT DOES NOT AFFECT YOU. America needs to address it's OWN problems & quit trying to be the world police. SOME COUNTRIES DON'T WANT A DEMOCRACY.
What is Digg?
