Digg Townhall Tonight!
Tune into the live Digg townhall tonight at 5:00pm PST/8:00pm EST.
Hey America! Your government is doing this on your behalf!
thememoryhole.org — Every minute that passes, more innocent world citizens are being subjected to this horrifying violence because American citizens are spending their time worrying about Mark Foley, missions to Mars, flag burning and protecting their borders. If you're an American, each and every one of the acts portrayed in these photos has your tacit approval.

- synmo, on 10/12/2007, -20/+20If you're screen name is theone3, each and every statement you make is most likely an ignorant broad generalization.
Of course I don't approve of such acts. I vote. I protest. I have a voice.
Don't ever tell me what I approve and don't approve just because of where I was born.- jaycliche, on 10/12/2007, -8/+11So do you have a bumper sticker...or are you doing something real?
- theone3, on 10/12/2007, -11/+10Bravo synmo. I wish there were more like you around. Sorry to lump you in with the rest of your nation, of course I know there are people who speak out against these things, but, unfortunately, most people think of it as yesterday's news, not something that they're involved in allowing to happen.
- doom.md, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4why in the name of christ is synmo being dugg down, there are ***** like theone3 all over the world that have no idea what it is like it is in America and how the America public thinks.
yeah it true a lot of the population is distracted with sitcoms, other "news" items, and other pointless *****, but let me tell you there are plenty of people here that are concerned with the what is going on in Iraq.
- AmishRefugee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8"or are you doing something real?"
like what? americans can't do much to stand up against their government and if they do, they can't expect results. Even the Judiciary branch can't stop the administration from what it's doing.- darkixion, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Isn't it that exact attitude which means most Americans don't take action? Isn't that why they continue to commit such atrocities, because they know they won't be challenged or questioned? People, not just Americans, should be taking a lot more interest in the actions of their government, and reacting to these terrible policies adopted.
I'm from the UK, and like in America, huge anti-war demos have taken place previously, and massive protests made in London. Now the law has been changed so you may not stage a protest without authorisation from the British police force. Our freedoms are slowly being ebbed away, and because it's slowly happening, people don't pay that much attention. A bit like global warming unfortunately.
Our leaders aren't really leading, they're herding us. It's done in the interest of businesses, and the masses are mainly manipulated by fear, terrorist threats and the like. President Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe has made countless human rights violations, yet no-one has stepped in there. Why? They don't have any oil there, otherwise we're be freeing Zimbabwians from their evil dictator. They wouldn't even need to make up huge lies in order to do it either. The evidence is all there; governments have acknowledged that the government of Zimbabwe is corrupt and acting illegally, yet because we would not gain anything by making a stand, our countries do bugger all.
It's wrong just to point the spotlight on the American public. It's the UK public, French public, Spanish public and many other nations that haven't done enough to respond.

- EternalDarkWing, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Uh, a [NSFW] tag would have been nice.
- lozaning, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1or at least a "those of you that dont want to see half naked people shouldnt click here"
- synmo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I agree with you in that we need to shake things up a bit, its just that broad generalizations seem to be the same reason to blame for most broken diplomacy and worldwide political strife as well so it usually gets me up in arms a bit.
No hard feelings theone3. - greymaxcat, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Trust me when I say that the US Government isn't doing ANYTHING on my behalf.
I blame France.- vudicarus, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5hmm yes. and i blame Sauron...and cream cheese, and puppies.

- toasty168, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Rumsfeld, the Nazi *****. May your work become your life.
- TSK06, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Ah, more out-of-context insert-some-agenda pictures. I've recently say, on digg, that prisoners want Americans back, as Americans are no longer in charge of Abu Graib. Here is the link for those with a short memory:
http://digg.com/political_opinion/Oh_the_Irony._Abu_Graib_Prisoners_want_Americans_back - Mausen, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I certainly don't approve, tacitly or otherwise. I wrote to every representative of mine in Congress urging them not to pass this bill. They all voted on it. Suffice to say that I'll be voting for their challengers next month.
- squeedgie4me, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0If you are gonna start blaming nations for this *****...
Blame Britain for not holding onto America and letting the revolution occur!
Blame France for helping us beat Britain in the revolution!
Blame God for creating Britain!
And of course, we have to blame Kerry for losing the election with Bush. - Zzyw, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1What the ***** is a "rapfist"?
- lozaning, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1@theone3
what country do you live in?- theone3, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Australia.
