          I suggest that people who do, or do not care, based on ethnicity have elevated the importance of ethnicity above all other considerations. In my culture, ethnicity has no practical relevance to this kind of decision so yes - I would define you as a racist. At the very least deeply prejudicial.

          Look at it this way - Had this happened in the west, a whole bunch of white people (among others) would be dead and suffering - but there are plenty of those in the world, so who would care?

          "they don't really care" compared to "they don't care at all" aren't far apart from each other in definition. Really, it's your label that defines what your mindset believes. Frankly, anytime innocent people suffer with either sickness, death, or famine I am deeply moved.

          "where most of the modern world resides"...... Boy, it took me awhile to stop laughing at you. If it happened in the West, FEMA would take like 10 days to start streaming in aid. If it happened in the West, we would have Anderson Cooper doing an on-the-scene weekly report on the devastation of the great quake.

          Frankly, I think more people care about the China earthquake than any western disaster. Why? Because of people like you... Prejudicial, racist, and suppremist minded tools.
