Not Jerusalem? Mecca you say?
Well, wait, maybe Jerusalem is the second most holiest site to Islam.. That's Medina?
Perhaps... The five pillars of Islam state that every muslim must go to Jerusalem once in his life time? That's Mecca again?
Jerusalem is the holiest city to both Jews and Christians. Some time along history, the muslim invaders destroyed the synagogues and churches in Jerusalem, and built mosques over them. It seems they want to do so once again. - Kizilbash, on 08/23/2008, -1/+1Seriously kapuchino, at some point you really do have to open and read a history book. It was the Romans that destroyed the temple in Jerusalem, almost 2000 years ago. Ever since the Jews have been a minority in Jerusalem. The Muslims did not destroy any synagogues or churches and took Jerusalem without bloodshed.
On the other hand the Crusaders killed Muslims, Jews and even local Christians by the thousands. According to contemporary sources blood was flowing in the streets up to the stirrups on the horses after the Christians first took Jerusalem.
