wnd.com — Once again, we learn that what the Mainstream Media was reporting as fact about the Iraq War was a scam. And once again, the source of the anti-war propaganda appears to be our enemy, the insurgents. Lovely.

      As a soldier, I've got to admit - our Army slogan isn't the greatest. The Marines got it right; however, if Murtha is still a Marine - then throw the Uniform Code of Military Justice at him and try him in a military court.

Murtha’s comments and actions were disgraceful to the Marine Corps as a whole and this nation. Politicians should be held accountable and not protected by the “sanctity of office.” Murtha and all the rest of the are in Washington as part of a government of the people, by the people…not what it has become which a government of the special interest group, by the special interest group (this includes the environmentalist, anti-war, big oil, etc.). It is time for the majority to speak out as loudly as the minority special interest groups.

    I'd like to know if there is a fund setup for their defense as well. I'm tired of democrats selling our country out for their own political gain.

    I'm an Army Veteran myself. Marines, Navy, Army, Air Force, Coast Guard, National Guard...you are all my brothers and sisters.

Now, I would think that a service men suing a congressmen would garner SOME kind of media attention............Think of the sensationalism value! But, that wouldn't move the story "ahead". So, this will get wiped under the rug......I'm actually surprised Matt even posted the story. I guess there was no Barry news today.

  • snu155, on 06/20/2008, -0/+2It sickens me to see our politicians treating our Marines this way, on the house floor congressmen's speeches are protected constitutionally against slander laws, however I think Murtha made those comments at a new conference so he CAN be held liable. I hope they nail his ass to the wall and it sends a message to other politicians to stop this kind of rhetoric.
