- TobiasParker, on 11/11/2009, -1/+26"It turns out they could be killed by water all along!"
Wow, what a contrived plot device. - firesights, on 11/11/2009, -0/+17+15 hp
+2 rads - drunkenoaf, on 11/11/2009, -0/+15Very dilute hydrochloric acid with ozone bubbled thorough it.
Presumably, many viruses will be slowly dissolved away with this stuff. But only the munching away by acid and O3 of H1N1 is sexy enough to warrant news coverage. - Xaevier, on 11/10/2009, -1/+14Oh Lordy once the media hears about this they will be cropdusting entire cities with this mixture.
- AndrewDB, on 11/11/2009, -0/+13Water from the ozone that's acidic.
Duh. - cosinezero, on 11/11/2009, -5/+17BILLY MAYS HERE FOR NEW OXYCLEAN
- Barackalypse, on 11/11/2009, -1/+13They make it sound like killing influenza is difficult, there are hundreds of cleaners that do this, including plain old bleach at $1 a gallon. In fact, here is a list of over 500 products registered with the EPA for use against influenza A:
http://www.epa.gov/oppad001/influenza-disinfectant ... - ArchangelZLT, on 11/11/2009, -0/+11Acids can kill viruses! What a miracle!
Oh wait, every high school biology student knows this. - growvideos, on 11/09/2009, -3/+14Shhhhhh! Don't let the NWO know.
- merbrian, on 11/10/2009, -0/+10Wonder if Glenn Beck would have a problem with this . . .
- drunkenoaf, on 11/11/2009, -1/+10I think you'll find it is a matter of debate.

Are prions alive? That's another self replicating thing. - Enlightenment, on 11/11/2009, -1/+10Pure Sulfuric Acid will kill H1N1 too, so you better run out and buy some right now to cure yourself.
- Smashery, on 11/10/2009, -6/+14*sigh*
http://www.flickr.com/photos/michaelpaukner/405284 ... - shutaro, on 11/10/2009, -1/+9How do you know that this isn't part of the plan? Perhaps the ozone activates the nanites they slipped into the H1N1 vaccine...
- KimballO, on 11/11/2009, -0/+7Thanks, drunkenoaf. Your comment actually makes sense.
- Apokalyps2547, on 11/11/2009, -0/+7uhhh yeah? Ozone is ridiculously poisonous.
The problem has never been killing germs on surfaces. The problem is killing them inside the body without also killing yourself (don't drink ozone water) - kingmanic, on 11/11/2009, -0/+7What a stupid non-story. Dilute vinigar and dilute bleach can also kill virii and Bactria on surfaces. Both are cheap and widely available.
- KimballO, on 11/10/2009, -0/+7What on earth is "acidic ozone water"? Really?
- Xfer00, on 11/11/2009, -1/+7The chart only covers a 300 day period, man. Either you're poor at reading charts or you have a very odd concept of history.
- AndrewDB, on 11/11/2009, -3/+8To be considered alive by biological standards, you must: Attempt to Reproduce, Obtain and use energy, Grow, develop, and die, Respond to the environment.
As such, Virii do all of those, therefore, in biological terminology they are classified as "alive". - Paranor01, on 11/11/2009, -1/+5fire can be classified as alive just like prions.
a natural biological system can be called alive, it's just not sentient alive. - Logicexe, on 11/11/2009, -0/+3Hahaha! They all laughed at me when I said that the NWO lizard people were flying airplanes with contrails laden with Swine Flu from their secret lunar base where they faked the moon landing. Well who's laughing now?
- Pensi, on 11/11/2009, -0/+3Better than having to chose between H1N1 and Purple Rain.
- azurite, on 11/11/2009, -0/+3Its what plants crave.

- MunterPunter, on 11/11/2009, -0/+3Good news, everyone!
- MF2x, on 11/11/2009, -0/+3Can you drink it?
- antoniuk, on 11/11/2009, -0/+3This just in... Thermonuclear explosions in populated areas halt the spread of H1N1
- AndrewDB, on 11/11/2009, -0/+3Xfer, I didn't know that that was only encompassing a 300 day period.
Granted the "300 days" should have made it more clear, but, still... it's not exactly clear. - libervisco, on 11/11/2009, -0/+3lol
- atchon, on 11/11/2009, -0/+3*sigh*
if only that meant anything. First 5000 deaths out of how many? Example there was an Ebola break out recently which infected 21 people 11 died. In other words 50% of the people died. That graph would only mean something if it was percentage of those infected which died.
Also the thing scientists and doctors are worried about is the mutation of the H1N1. There was a flu the year before the 1918 one which didn't kill many people, it then mutated and killed millions. I know the current craze over swine flu is a bit blown out of proportion. Originally though there seemed to be a high number of cases that appeared soon after the discovery, it then leveled off and now tons of people have had it and been fine. The scary thing still though is if it mutates and becomes far more virulent. - JohnnySoftware, on 11/11/2009, -0/+3News flash for anyone not around in the 1980's. Just a short time after the AIDS/HIV virus was discovered health researchers found the virus could be killed or whatever outside of the body by simple bleach. Bleach has been available in stores all over for something like a century. It was the first "killer product" for the chemical industry. They have been selling bleach longer than any of us have been alive.
- Frostek, on 11/11/2009, -0/+3God only knows what will happen to this information by the time it hits Youtube.
Oh wait, they're all too busy pumping themselves full of colloidal silver instead!
(Wonders if he should start spreading rumours the NWO makes its money from silver stocks) - milkmage, on 11/11/2009, -0/+2thnk of it like carbonated water, but they use o3 instead of co2

- dralezero, on 11/12/2009, -0/+2Water + Hydrochloric Acid + Ionic Breeze
- CrimsonBlur, on 11/12/2009, -0/+2There is plenty of sodium and water in your body already. How would salt water help kill a virus? Sorry, let me rephrase that: no this will not work. It will clear our your sinuses though.
- cjflashman, on 11/11/2009, -1/+3Virii do not Grow afaik. I thought, once they're assembled, that's that, and they're on their way to do their business?
Damn, this is quite a debate. - hereticoftruth, on 11/11/2009, -0/+1Don't worry. Be healthy.
- MissDeFacto, on 11/12/2009, -0/+1Ummm ... why on Earth would anyone want to enlarge that image?
- Krissam, on 11/11/2009, -0/+1who will be glad to hear this.

Stay in school.
Sorry, I'll take my advice on what is and isn't alive from someone who can take 15 seconds to make sure they don't look like a middle school drop-out. - hairyfro, on 11/11/2009, -0/+1Too late. I already have it.
- Altotus, on 11/11/2009, -0/+1Biologists (I'm one) typically refer to viruses as being "live" or "dead", but don't generally go so far as accepting that viruses are living organisms -- namely because they don't have their own metabolism.
It's the same sort of semantic question as asking if a chunk of metal is a machine. Toss a chunk of metal into an operating jet engine and lots of similar chunks of metal fly out the other end (themselves able to similarly affect other jet engines). What if it were a wrench?
My personal experience leads me more to the point of view that viruses are sporulated adjuncts of the host genome. They aren't so much living things in and of themselves as they are an optional functional part of the host they infect - probably a carry-over from prokaryotic plasmids, which provide mechanisms for implementing sex-like genetic diversity and conveying novel traits. - bubbadigg, on 11/11/2009, -0/+1This announcement is brought to you by, and the research was sponsored by, the "Acidic Ozone Water organization" and is solely responsible for its content.
LOL - bubbadigg, on 11/11/2009, -0/+1News of 2011:
It has been determined that more people die from drinking acidic ozone water than from swine flu. - mwrl, on 11/11/2009, -0/+1Gold Mine?
- enantiodromia, on 11/11/2009, -0/+1I ONLY WANT TO SEE YOU STANDING, IN THE PURPLE RAIN...
- assemblyline, on 11/12/2009, -0/+1Mix that with high concentration peroxide and you'll have an H1N1 killing machine. Stick your hands in it for added protection.
