- inactive, on 10/26/2008, -0/+2With over 20,000 laws regulating firearms on the books, enforcing those we already have is a lot more effective than chasing political smoke and mirrors to impose greater restrictions on honest citizens. In fact, it is probably 90% of the laws in this field are worthless poppycock. The formula is simple - make the penalties for criminal activity stiff, enforce the law and penalize the criminals. It's not the firearms which cause the crime, it's the criminal who uses a firearm in the course of committing a crime.
