Gull Island Oil
americanfreepress.net — Is it possible there really is no reason to rely on foreign oil to fuel North America? But Americans will never hear about huge oil and gas reserves in the United States, which, if ever tapped, would bring today ’s fuel prices at least as low as $1.50 per gallon and make America more energy independent.

- addlo, on 12/12/2007, -0/+5If this is true then the rest of the world better beware! I wish we humans stop the politics, be truthful and help to keep the planet safe responsibly.
- billyjack1958, on 03/21/2008, -0/+2Yet another reason to vote for Ron Paul for President and vote folks who think like him into Congress. Not only would This not be going on, but we would be more freely allowed to pursue other viable alternative energy sources...and no, I am Not talking about ethanol.

- dmiller340, on 03/21/2008, -0/+2This is the TRUTH. Fortunately, I have subscribed to American Free Press and its predecessor The Spotlight for many years, and I have learned they ALWAYS have their facts straight. The Spotlight reported that Gov. Bill Clinton was chosen to be the next president of the US three years before the election, and I laughed to myself saying "this is one time they have to be wrong". I saved that issue so I could point out their mistake when it didn't happen - what they received from me was an apology! Wake up America, our time to recover our freedoms is slipping away!!
- mwest9380, on 07/17/2008, -0/+0Anchorage-based Petroleum News has an article in its July 13 edition about the oil potential of Gull Island and the allegations surrounding it. PN had a map made up of the area and interviewed the top USGS geologist for Alaska’s North Slope and two geologists who sat the Gull Island No. 1 well in 1976 (geologist speak for monitoring and interpreting the geologic evidence from a well while it is being drilled).
Here’s the link to the article in html (text): http://www.petroleumnews.com/pnads/690171677.shtml
Here’s the pdf version that shows article AND a map (story starts on page 1, jumps to page 22, which shows the full-size map): http://www.petroleumnews.com/pdfarch/543591276.pdf ...
I contacted them and PN executive editor Kay Cashman is looking for more information on Gull Island kaycashman@petroleumnews.com. She said the newspaper is going to continue follow the subject.
