Governor Seeks $7 Billion For Prisons

kcra.com — SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger on Friday asked state lawmakers to approve $6 billion to build seven new prison hospitals and mental health centers to care for 10,000 inmates. He sought an additional $1 billion for improvements to existing state prisons.
