- okayokayokay, on 06/20/2009, -0/+53Warning: This video is disturbing and very graphic...
But the world needs to see that this is what's happening in Iran right now.
DIGG IT. - RapidFire, on 06/20/2009, -1/+24This is the saddest moment of these protests. I am extremely angered and disgusted by the methods the Iranian govt. have resorted to in order to "keep the status quo". The sniveling coward of a supreme leader should either immediately resign or face the wrath and backlash of a people who will show their solidarity to their own brothers and sisters, not to an oppressive dictator.
- tiberiandusk, on 06/20/2009, -0/+21awful. let it not be in vain!
- Tomboys, on 06/20/2009, -0/+18her name was Neda!
- CivicTV, on 08/14/2009, -0/+18Horrible, utterly gut wrenching.
- okayokayokay, on 06/20/2009, -0/+17Here is another clip of the same girl, a few moments later.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LJ9D1C1hlZI (Warning: also VERY disturbing footage.) - majidp, on 06/20/2009, -0/+17So far 130+ people have been killed in Iran. They desperately need help and support from all around the world to get rid of the Islamic regime, the one that is killing Iranian citizens in such a brutal way and for sure it would be a threat to the whole world. Ahmadinejad should not be recognized as the president of Iran. Please encourage your governments to do so...
- theoretician, on 06/20/2009, -0/+16This is for those non Iranian friends who keep on saying that Ahmadinejhad is good! who would kill his own people...
- Isitandestroy, on 06/20/2009, -2/+18People need to see the reality, the fascists always kill the students first.
- moederj, on 06/20/2009, -0/+14This is too sad.
- FancyLady, on 06/20/2009, -1/+14People around me seem obvlivious to the pain and seem not to know how to fight for what Is right and these people may teach us thing or two.
One world one People. This is so sad. I am now against most religions. - skidork, on 06/21/2009, -1/+13This is what one woman wrote about Neda. Source: Huffington Post
Yesterday I wrote a note, with the subject line "tomorrow is a great day perhaps tomorrow I'll be killed." I'm here to let you know I'm alive but my sister was killed...
I'm here to tell you my sister died while in her father's hands
I'm here to tell you my sister had big dreams...
I'm here to tell you my sister who died was a decent person... and like me yearned for a day when her hair would be swept by the wind... and like me read "Forough" [Forough Farrokhzad]... and longed to live free and equal... and she longed to hold her head up and announce, "I'm Iranian"... and she longed to one day fall in love to a man with a shaggy hair... and she longed for a daughter to braid her hair and sing lullaby by her crib...
my sister died from not having life... my sister died as injustice has no end... my sister died since she loved life too much... and my sister died since she lovingly cared for people...
my loving sister, I wish you had closed your eyes when your time had come... the very end of your last glance burns my soul....
sister have a short sleep. your last dream be sweet. - ajdane, on 06/20/2009, -0/+11Damn.
- AmnesiacJack, on 06/20/2009, -0/+11My heart goes out to the Iranians, old men and hateful ways can't destroy the humanity in every one. Those are the ones we must fight for at all times.
- securitymonkey, on 06/20/2009, -2/+12:10 - her eyes. :-(

- mentallyinhell, on 06/21/2009, -1/+9I thought the internet desensitized me. But now I can't get her image out of my head. Worse yet, its everywhere. This is a nightmare, and I can't figure out why its affected me so god-damned much.

http://digg.com/politics/IRAN_Young_Woman_Shot_Dea ... - Tomboys, on 06/20/2009, -1/+8We need to keep spreading this information anyway we can. I hope these very brave protesters know how much we support them.
- adrian67, on 06/21/2009, -0/+7Very very sad news - 192 Diggs - Why has this not Front Paged already???
- Junkyarddawg, on 06/21/2009, -3/+10Uh... No one is advocating invading Iran. This is and remains an internal affair, but one can and should show support for the democracy movement.
- joshblufs, on 06/21/2009, -0/+7true, its back with a birth date confirmation now instead of a removed for "violation of terms of service" message that was up before. looks like good judgment on the part of Youtube.
- diggyduggle, on 06/21/2009, -0/+6Wow, youtube still has the dumbest comments in the history of anything.
- includao, on 06/20/2009, -0/+6This is the saddest moment of these protests. I am extremely angered and disgusted by the methods the Iranian govt. have resorted to in order to "keep the status quo". - TheTaoOfBill, on 06/20/2009, -3/+9I gotta say. Before today I was totally against going into Iran. But after seeing this video and after hearing about the countless other victims I think it's time. I think it's time for the UN to step in. Iran needs to be taken down. And we need to make sure these freedom fighters didn't die in vein. This is our chance.
- okayokayokay, on 06/20/2009, -1/+6This video has been pulled from YouTube, but HuffPost is now hosting it (scroll to 2:37 PM):

- mollydog12, on 06/21/2009, -0/+5one more time beauty has been taken from all of us. the tears are replaced by rage at the world we've created.

very disturbing.
reposting an update by okayokayokay - mollydog12, on 06/21/2009, -2/+6tao.
let isreal deal the first blow. and then we should support isreal.
this is not new. what's new is it's on youtube where all can see it.
the provocations for isreal and the us to act has existed for decades. where has the horror and outrage been when innocent woman and children are blown to pieces on buses and in the marketplaces all over the world ? - Stevanoski, on 06/21/2009, -2/+6@TheTaoOfBill , you will find most of your Liberal friends will never want to aid and abet freedom in any part of the world.
- lilhurt38, on 06/21/2009, -1/+5I almost don't want to digg this. It's very disturbing to watch, but I thing people should see the reality of what goes on over there. Someone just took this beautiful young woman's life. ***** up.
- Napiertt, on 06/21/2009, -1/+4You first
- DrJen, on 06/21/2009, -0/+3If it was pulled at YouTube, it is back up again.
You might try reloading without the Digg toolbar if you're having trouble. You have to confirm that you are old enough to view adult material. - TheTaoOfBill, on 06/21/2009, -3/+6I didn't say anyone was advocating that. I said I'm advocating that. I think we should provide military support to the Iranian rebellion.
- mollydog12, on 06/21/2009, -0/+2would that you could take her place.
- ByteMeAHole, on 06/21/2009, -0/+2Long ago during when the lunatics presently in power in Iran took control, I talked to a friend that came from Iran (before this group came into power). I asked "How can a country allow that to happen?"
His response, "You take the dregs of society, who have no skills and give them guns and tell them, that if you are in power, they will prosper. They will kill anyone and everyone that oppose them."
Fortunately, he was able to stay in this country after he got his PhD - but this week, his words are again proven, and show what happens when only those supporting the government have the guns... - mollydog12, on 06/21/2009, -1/+3peace, in this world, can only be had at the barrel of a gun and at the expense of those who believe it's worth dying for.
- Stevanoski, on 06/21/2009, -1/+3The world is a bad place. The sooner we have people who understand this in charge of the country the safer you and your family will be.
