Georgian Troops Caught Firing on Journalists (by Fox, irony) watch!

youtube.com — Fox News hosts,working to pedal anti-Russian propaganda, air video of their own field reporter running from GEORGIAN military gunfire. The journalist reports that the Georgian troops are "irregular and undisciplined" and when it cuts back to the host, he has the egg-on-face look.

Like even though they shoot at jouranlists for no reason and killed those 2000 russians for no reason... you gotta love these folks. If we could somehow turn georgians against fox news all the time, we'd all be better off.

  • kevinlw1974, on 08/14/2008, -8/+2People there are no good guys in this conflict. These break away groups have been attacking the Georgians and have been back by Russia. Georgia is backed by the US. The US and Russia are in a power struggle neither one can claim the moral high ground here.

      • kevinlw1974, on 08/14/2008, -4/+1Clearly you are not reading me. I said there are no good guys. That would include the Georgians (and the US). Both sides have killed civilians. The US hasn't condemned Georgia's attacks either as it is pretty obvious that their first attack hit civilians. And yes, I know the US media is painting Georgia out to be a poor little victim. But many on here are not balancing out their criticism of that in pointing out the Russia really isn't any better.

This stupid little conflict reminds me of the gameplaying that the socialite kids did at my high school many years ago, except that they are grown up now and are picking fights with nuclear-armed adversaries!

    Too bad the Bush girls won't be doing the fighting, when it comes to that.

  • dunderballer, on 08/15/2008, -2/+6I'm surprised that those firing on reporters weren't assumed to be Russians as was the case in the odd video that came out today of a Georgian reporter being shot in the arm while she and her crew remain surprisingly calm, keep rolling/reporting, and don't even seek cover aside from putting a vest on the reporter.

    It's called war *****. Situations arise very irregularly, anger is an emotion readily experienced when in battle, and watching your fat ass run is what's humiliating.

And I'm supposed to believe that this guy is running for his life, with a microphone in his hand, still talking into a camera? If someone were actually shooting at him, or were about to shoot at him, he would have broken out into a straight run away from the scene without any regard for cameras, microphones, or covering a news bit. Either that, or he's a complete moron!
