- LtXenodite, on 05/24/2008, -1/+2I like how he says "gay scientists" several more times.
- CDep, on 05/24/2008, -2/+2Has there been research into the fact that most politicians claim to be Christians? If we eliminate the Christian gene, who will run for office and poorly run the country?
- zennyboy21, on 05/26/2008, -0/+1Politicians claim to be Christians cuz generally, christians are better people.
- DeathWish808, on 05/24/2008, -0/+1CNNNN...ONN wanna-be. Slightly amusing.

- JimmySpaza, on 05/24/2008, -8/+1Being a Christian is a choice. Having homosexual tendencies is mostly due to genetics; although it's not as hard wired as the homosexual activists would have you believe. People can change. One's sexuality is not fixed.
Ever heard of men becoming homosexual in prison? How about the tens of thousands of homosexuals who prayed that God would change their sexuality...and now they're heterosexuals?
I know that this is a parody which is trying to make fun of Christians. It fails scientifically...and in comedy.
Oh, and this is a duplicate post. This "gay gene" thing has been posted here before.- Isileth, on 05/25/2008, -0/+5If its a choice or not doesnt matter anyway.
As long as everyone involved is happy and consenting, whats the problem?
If it doesnt affect anyone else it really isnt any of their business to say what others can and cant do.
As for chosing if you are or arent gay, its more chosing if you follow those feelings.
For example I might find women with big ears attractive but I can still choose not to give in to my attraction to big ears.
But then...why should I have to fight that attraction? Just like being gay, it doesnt affect anyone else outside of those who are involved. So what exactly would the problem be?- JimmySpaza, on 05/25/2008, -7/+2"As long as everyone involved is happy and consenting, whats the problem?"
If you remove any references to God and objective, absolute morality...then there shouldn't be any problem. Your position would be a libertarian one which might open up other less palatable possibilities; but, that is a different topic.
"But then...why should I have to fight that attraction? Just like being gay, it doesnt affect anyone else outside of those who are involved. So what exactly would the problem be?"
Outside of any religious implications...outside of the possibility that God exists and might be ticked off...there would be no problems.- Isileth, on 05/25/2008, -1/+3Exactly, and thankfully religion is not forced upon us.
Those who are in a religion that doesnt permit certain things dont have to do it. They could if they still wanted to obviousely but no one is forcing them to.
Those who arent in a religion that doesnt permit certain things also dont have to do it. They could if they still wanted to but obviousely no one is forcing them to.
Its completely up to the people involved.
As for opening up less palatable possibilities, as long as everyone involved is able to and does consent I see no problems. The "less palatable" possibilites happen when things are forced upon people against their will.

- lydecker, on 05/25/2008, -1/+7"Ever heard of men becoming homosexual in prison?" No, I've heard of them having sex with men in prison though. Doesn't mean they're homosexual. Doesn't mean homosexual men who have sex with women are heterosexual.
"How about the tens of thousands of homosexuals who prayed that God would change their sexuality...and now they're heterosexuals?" Tens of thousands? Please. You know that's a lie. Most people who claim to have changed their sexual orientation aren't heterosexual, they are homosexuals who shame themselves of their homosexual feelings.
I'm glad you see that Christian religion is the only thing standing in the way of gay rights. If most people did, we'd be much further along since religion doesn't make the rules for the country, religion only makes rules for the individual people.
