- Aidenag, on 10/12/2007, -7/+49for everyone who watches this, make sure to check out the last 30 seconds, the Foxnews anchors royaly screw up at the end.
- otherland, on 10/12/2007, -142/+29You dumbass zionist. Now Gaza is in Israel? The reporter was in Gaza! Shot at by IDF troops. Not in Israel.
- lava, on 10/12/2007, -63/+63you antisemantic bastard!
- otherland, on 10/12/2007, -130/+25Anti-semitism? Where? I didn't say anything negative about Arabs.
- msprout, on 10/12/2007, -8/+85There's two concrete laws in nature:
1. Matter can be neither created, nor destroyed.
2. If a thread is about Israel, every other post will belong to otherland. - hackwrench, on 10/12/2007, -7/+54read his post again, he said antisemantic. As it, it's a matter of semantics as to whether or not Gaza is in Israel.
- otherland, on 10/12/2007, -87/+10Wow, users I never heard of trolling me...
@hack, goodpoint, I'll digg him up. - omatsei, on 10/12/2007, -12/+31I'm sorry... did they move Gaza City out of Israel? Was there some re-negotiation of the Israeli border that never got any publicity? Then again, the "zionist" comment just proves that as far as you're concerned, Israel doesn't actually exist where the map says it does.
- sinbot, on 10/12/2007, -25/+44Being anti-zionist is not the same as being anti-jewish. It's time some of you dinks got that through your head already. Zionism is a political movement, calling people who disagree with Zionism anti-semitic is like calling people who hate republicans or democrats or what-have-you anti-American.
- otherland, on 10/12/2007, -64/+25Zionists are retarded. There are more Christian Zionists than there are Zionist Jews. Yet any criticism of Israeli policy is considered "anti-semitic". There simply is no legitimate criticism of Israel...
@omatsei Yes, the zionists repeatedly claimed that the zionist occupation of Gaza is over. That's their excuse for burning Gaza down to the ground this week.
Gaza city was never recognized as being in Israel aka occupied Palestine you retard. The international community has never recognized the zionist entity's illegal claims of Gaza. - plaunie, on 10/12/2007, -3/+15So as not to mix your metaphores, its more like anti-republican = anti-christian.
- silenceHR, on 10/12/2007, -16/+12wow...digging other up again... ;)
you people need to read what person posted before clicking your mighty thumbs.
he is right.... and even anti-semit is stupid as it was said WAY to many times that both jews and arabs are semites. - invisiblesun, on 10/12/2007, -14/+9for *****'s sake, can't any of you use a dictionary? yes, semite was originally a term for arabs and jews. now, though, anti-semite means you're against jews. it has no other usage in modern language. and zionism is a political movement to get a homeland for the jews, which they've already done, so when you exchange the word zionism for semitism, you're still getting the same thing, because zionism doesn't really exist anymore.
- silenceHR, on 10/12/2007, -14/+9"because zionism doesn't really exist anymore."
sure.... and Santa Claus is real ::roll eyes:: - wuxia, on 10/12/2007, -13/+6Deriding a jew is not anti-semitic. You have to be a semite and not a blue-eyed white skinned Khazarian to be officially considered semitic. Not some wannabe 'wish I was born from Abraham' poser that most jews claim.
Jews = not semites - blue and green eyes
Arabs = semites - brown eyes - dagonweb, on 10/12/2007, -4/+14If fox reporters my home town in the netherlands, *I*'d be tempted to shoot them.
Talk about the next incarnation of Joseph Goebbels. - silenceHR, on 10/12/2007, -5/+6"Jews = not semites - blue and green eyes
Arabs = semites - brown eyes"
sure... next you will say that jews are blue eyed, blue haired supreme race?
please, before making idiot of yourself, just try to look at pics on news sites.... if that isnt too much hassle for your brain. - leehodge, on 10/12/2007, -6/+6@dagonweb
If fox reporters my home town in the netherlands, *I*'d be tempted to shoot them.
Talk about the next incarnation of Joseph Goebbels.
Yes, a netherlands dweeb trying to shoot a member of the free press would put you in the running for the next incarnation of Goebbels
Today's Lesson: Irony - leehodge, on 10/12/2007, -7/+7@wuxia
Deriding a jew is not anti-semitic. You have to be a semite and not a blue-eyed white skinned Khazarian to be officially considered semitic. Not some wannabe 'wish I was born from Abraham' poser that most jews claim.
Jews = not semites - blue and green eyes

wuxia, get your mommy to buy you a dictionary:
an·ti-Sem·ite
n.
One who discriminates against or who is hostile toward or prejudiced against Jews.
(The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language, Fourth Edition) - wuxia, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3Leehodge and any others:
SEMITE:
A member of a group of Semitic-speaking peoples of the Near East and northern Africa, including the Arabs, Arameans, Babylonians, Carthaginians, Ethiopians, Hebrews, and Phoenicians.
Since the jews are descended from a race a Khazars from northern Europe, they would not and could not qualify as semites. Hence, any comments about their race can never been anti-semitic regardless of the incorrect suggested meaning in the dictionary today.
Judaism is a choice not a race. I can become a jew but I can not become an Arab.
I am right and you are wrong, very wrong. - goodoldharris, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1The reporter is in Gaza, which is not part of Israel. Title is inaccurate.
- silenceHR, on 10/12/2007, -9/+54lol.... "bad guys shooting at press", "but they are israeli".... DUH!!!
this is worth front page.- chicken101, on 10/12/2007, -37/+22Fox News: Your source for News that paints a simple Black and White world.
- Strangers, on 10/12/2007, -2/+26"Our reporter has just been shot at, they are in grave danger, and fleeing the area immediately. Now, are you a horrible speller?"
- killerofkiller, on 10/12/2007, -29/+21the only "bad guys" are the FOX news reporters
- TheMysteryCow, on 10/12/2007, -56/+26Dugg to enourage more potshots at Fox News. :D
(Not really. The network's a pile of crap, but I don't *really* want any of them dead.) - Skab, on 10/12/2007, -17/+83israel has the right to defend herself from foxnews the white house press core announced today.
- TootsMutant, on 10/12/2007, -30/+10{insert schadenfreude}
- titlesaysitall, on 10/12/2007, -35/+9Aidenag, you used my name in your description, prepare for a bombardment of lawsuits.
- otherland, on 10/12/2007, -58/+4That wasn't even funny the first time you used it. Your whine didn't get any better with age either...
- Aidenag, on 10/12/2007, -24/+7Hahahahaha
- titlesaysitall, on 10/12/2007, -19/+6-otherland, who says i'm whining?
- wuxia, on 10/12/2007, -8/+2You leave AIDENAG alone.
Hey, everyone look at this goofy ass photo of me.
http://digg.com/users/wuxia/profile - titlesaysitall, on 10/12/2007, -1/+41. can't you take a joke
2. how did you get the picture you bastard. - titlesaysitall, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Ok, sorry to anyone who was offended it was a joke, nothing more so don't get so upset over it.
- DWatch, on 10/12/2007, -9/+60Title never says it all, you lazy bastard. Put in a description! A basic Who What Where When Why, or any two or three of those, SOMETHING, ANYTHING would be better than 'title says it all'. Lazy *****.
- sremick, on 10/12/2007, -7/+18Amen, brother. #7 on the guide to good Digg submissions:
http://digg.sremick.net/ - masamunecyrus, on 10/12/2007, -6/+11Indeed They were POSSIBLY given notice shots in GAZA by IDF troops to leave. Title's a bit inaccurate.
- silenceHR, on 10/12/2007, -12/+7point is.... since you missed it.... comment AT THE END OF VIDEO.
"bad guys shoot press"..... "but they were shot by IDF".. or something....
watch the ***** video.... its funny to see Fox ppl saying the truth.. who is acctually bad guy in all this *****
- sremick, on 10/12/2007, -7/+18Amen, brother. #7 on the guide to good Digg submissions:
- gasoline, on 10/12/2007, -11/+6Oh the irony! ^^
- CaptJackSparrow, on 10/12/2007, -9/+3Oh The Insight!
- skeet07, on 10/12/2007, -3/+7Oh the.....what's humanity again?
- hackwrench, on 10/12/2007, -5/+28Like it's always clear who's a reporter on the battlefield.
- Kranklin, on 10/12/2007, -10/+28Regardless if he was a reporter or not, if he is giving away critical information he shouldnt be there... From the Isreali's point of view, what is more important, a lousy story so a reporter can make a living, or the lives of their troops?
- mozzep, on 10/12/2007, -16/+5He says that it says "PRESS" on their jackets, but can they even read english?
- masamunecyrus, on 10/12/2007, -4/+22@mozzep:
The Israelis can. - billyboobs34, on 10/12/2007, -6/+16Think about it, the press is giving away your strategic position to the entire world on live TV. It's perfectly justified to fire off a few warning shots telling them to leave. If they wanted to hit them, the press would be dead.
- hackwrench, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6@mozzep
From how far away and what visibility? - CaptJackSparrow, on 10/12/2007, -8/+3"He says that it says "PRESS" on their jackets, but can they even read english?"
Let's send Madonna or Jessica Simpson with this jacket on and we will find out.
- MalDON, on 10/12/2007, -31/+15Hey, I would shoot at fox news too.
- leehodge, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4@MalDON
Hey, I would shoot at fox news too.
Yeah but you would most likely shoot yourself
- leehodge, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4@MalDON
- SaladFork, on 10/12/2007, -14/+2Would be more interesting if either of the shots were audible...
- billyboobs34, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8You can hear them if you actually listen to it...
- vixiecron, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3It would be nice if flash 7 for linux didn't have a huge desync problem on youtube.
- trollzor, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Flash 7 is a holding tech, they give you a crappy half-measure to slow down the FOSS replacement. If there had been no flash 7 for Linux then Gnash would be years ahead of it's current position.
http://www.gnu.org/software/gnash/
"Runs standalone
Gnash can run standalone to play flash movies.
Firefox plugin
Gnash can also run as a plugin from within Firefox.
SWF v7 compliant
Gnash can play many current flash movies."
So Gnash is almost flash 7 compliant, but how many more devs would they have had if there was no flash on linux? You don't need more proof than that they are talking about Flash 9 and they haven't even got 8 working on linux, or fixed that annoying sound sync/delay problem.
- underthewether, on 10/12/2007, -10/+15I like how the guy heard a shot, but there was no indication it was aimed in their direction. I think they were overreacting from what I could see in the video. It's not like their car had a bullet hole in it.
- Rickler, on 10/12/2007, -3/+30What happened to the old days of reporters in Bosnia running though a trench in the road with bullets whizzing overhead. They had balls.
- chicken101, on 10/12/2007, -8/+12Those shots were far away, no way were they being shot at. Total BS.
- MattS, on 10/12/2007, -3/+28Ever been shot at? Being shot AT has a very distinctive sound and it is very different from hearing a shot. What you heard was being shot AT. Think of a very high pitched buzz coming toward you (Doppler effect...)
Once you have heard it - you will never forget it. (Shudder) - sinbot, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6He probably wasn't being shot at but either way I don't think he was overreacting really. He stayed pretty calm about it all and just didn't want to be there if he didn't have to be there. A surprisingly sane decision by someone working for Fox News.
- nefty, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2The bullet didn't even fly anywhere near the reporters or camera. You would have heard a "crack" or "pop", the bullet's supersonic shockwave. Here's a good video illustrating what bullets flying by sound like:
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5415556716521120033 - anachronaut, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5You can clearly hear the ricochet of the first shot hitting very close to them at around 01:52 of the video, right between when the reporter says "Israeli towns" and "whoa, we just got fired at". I didn't hear much of the shots after that one, but the first one is impossible to miss.
I agree that they were warning shots from IDF, who obviously knew that they were shooting at the press and weren't trying to kill them (yet).
- dmh11686, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13I saw the live this morning on Fox and Friends. It was quite exciting TV.
- earthtoandy, on 10/12/2007, -28/+32See, even people around the world think Fox News is *****.
- jla1987, on 10/12/2007, -19/+8And I'm not one of those people.
- protogenxl, on 10/12/2007, -5/+26Further proof that sending Reports into war zones is a RATINGS GRAB. Any way how do we know it was not a Setup? For all we know Geraldo was off camera trying out an AK-47 before Buying It.
Anti Flame Statement
Gun Runners Only care about MONEY nothing Else They SELL TO BOTH SIDES. I am sure that the most powerful gun smuggler in that area is NOT Israeli or Palestinian, But an Inuit Dwarf with a Napoleon Complex. - Mrkamikaze, on 10/12/2007, -17/+23Can tell its its an Arab Shooter..he didn't even come close with his shot.
- blackjack75, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1It was a suicide bullet. It blew up alone in the middle of the way.
- MikeEFresh, on 10/12/2007, -2/+20The best part is hearing a journalist ask another journalist,"Really?"
- volz0r, on 10/12/2007, -14/+52Everytime a FOX news 'journalist' gets shot at, a cute kitten is born.
- SniperGX1, on 10/12/2007, -8/+19Apparantly Kharma is "Fair and Balanced" too
- uptown, on 10/12/2007, -1/+21I love how the one newscaster explains how sometimes if you see something far away you just start shooting at it ... and the other guy's like "really?"
- abhoody, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2"but they are israeli"....
he said "but it's israel" you dumbass. - brandonking, on 10/12/2007, -4/+10I particularly like how it took him 5 minutes to say, "Um, I'm being fired at. I'm leaving." I also found the terms 'skidaddle' and 'boogie' a little misplaced.
- uptown, on 10/12/2007, -1/+36I think the FCC might have cracked down on "i ***** myself", and "let's get the ***** out of dodge".
- thotpoizn, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10OK, dammit, uptown... You owe me a new keyboard and half a soda! :)
- everfresh59, on 10/12/2007, -9/+2Someone should bomb them both with lethal decibel doses of Birtney Spears' "Oops I did it again" track, which in turn, makes both sides just completely go insane, making them not shoot one another, but shoot themselves..... ;)
History is a relentless master. It has no present, only the past rushing into the future. To try to hold fast is to be swept aside.
John F. Kennedy - uptown, on 10/12/2007, -2/+21Is this the point where we start blaming video games?
- thewebguy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14"shooting at the press too, he's wearing a flak jacket that says press right on it"
"yeah but if you're somebody and you're a long ways away you just see somebody and you don't konw who it is somtimes you just start shooting.."
"really?"- star, on 10/12/2007, -3/+7Hehehe, yeah, was thinking about that detail too, especially how the anchor was "knowingly" nodding his head right then was hilarious. Dang, FauxNews sure are a bunch of clueless chickens.
And who is that poor guy to the right, having to play the naive dumb dumber? - ZigZags, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Let's make sure we never give Steve Doocy guns a long ways away. And if he does happen to end up a long ways away with a gun, let's make sure he knows where he is & he knows everybody around him... or else it could be one of those times where Steve Doocy starts firing. Being that this was Fox news & judging by the female host's reaction, I'd say this was staged.
- star, on 10/12/2007, -3/+7Hehehe, yeah, was thinking about that detail too, especially how the anchor was "knowingly" nodding his head right then was hilarious. Dang, FauxNews sure are a bunch of clueless chickens.
- notbob, on 10/12/2007, -3/+13Bad Guys shoot at anything.
Right, but it's Isreal.- billyboobs34, on 10/12/2007, -5/+11American mentally dictates that anything Isreal does is good and is just as justified as if the action was done by America itself.
- sonicdevo, on 10/12/2007, -8/+7No, its just that Israel is the only westernized country over there, so of course we're going to identify more strongly with them.
- HomrZodyssey, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3@billyboobs
Apparantly your mentality dictates that all Americans think alike. I think your hypocrisy is showing.
- No.Gov, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2there's an idea.
- budshonda, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4wow, that anchor on the far right was a complete moron. Does he know anything about combat? Apparently not!
- flyinbuddha, on 10/12/2007, -5/+8like anyone else on the far right....
- CaptJackSparrow, on 10/12/2007, -2/+13"if you see something far away that you don't know, you just start shooting at it"
Still does not explain Dick Cheney's incident. Or does it? - mlock2k, on 10/12/2007, -12/+9forgive me i am a gamer not into to politics but why do we side with Israel if they kill 40 Palestinians for them stealing one of the Jewish people is that right ? Is that fair why are they targeting normal people why not the people that have the guy they are looking for ? I would suggest a friendly game op chrome hounds to settle the land dispute.
this is not a cool multiplayer game !- treleung, on 10/12/2007, -7/+1Good to see Fox News actually sending reporters to the situation. Before the relied on AP news stories, archival footage, and other methods of reporting... without reporting.
- mendosaprime, on 10/12/2007, -5/+0It's a long story to say the least.
- zack97, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1yo idjit! read the news man! even the anti-israel, "militants attacked again" news sources have said over and over again that israel has only been targeting terrorists! i.e. hamas, huzballah. compare this to the arabs' tactics of gleefully murdering civilians by the busload. as someone above so well put, had the IDF (assuming it was the IDF who fired the shots) wanted to kill the reporter, he would have been dead.
we all need to get some real facts before wantonly creating judgements.
- treleung, on 10/12/2007, -7/+1Good to see Fox News actually sending reporters to the situation. Before the relied on AP news stories, archival footage, and other methods of reporting... without reporting.

- blackjack75, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3He could care less. He's from Fox News. He knows the rapture is coming anyway...
- LLXerxes, on 10/12/2007, -4/+4This conflict is getting out of hand.

//the german police sneaking up on the terrorists
///while the terrorists WATCHED THEM ON TV? - dvfreelancer, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5I guess that means there are angry liberals in the mideast.
The White House will decide to active decisively in the face of violence in the Mideast and invade Canada. - d8cam, on 10/12/2007, -7/+5It's amazing to think that some of you spend more than an hour a day looking for comments to digg down. That's when being a nerd crosses the line to insanity. Now digg me down and pathetically gain some self esteem. Thank you.
(for the record, this comment took 30 seconds of my day to post)- Xageroth, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It takes less time to digg you down. :)
- rderveloy, on 10/12/2007, -4/+4No one knows who shot at them. It's just like Fox News to blame Isreal when they really have no idea who was shooting at them and what the purpose of those shots were.
Besides, if you're really far away without any binoculars or a scope, and you see someone walk outside with a camera that could easily look like a missile launcher from far away, it's very easy to see how someone could come to the wrong conclusion about who they were.
Besides, the word press is only shown on the front and back of the flack jackets. What if the person who was shooting them was to their side and couldn't see the front or back of the jackets? - trancient, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I love the hosts telling the reporter "Be secure" "Take cover!". Um ya these motherf'ers are shooting at me Iike I'm not gonna get out of the way.
Besides the fact that this guy is a long time war correpondent who knows when he's in danger. - artman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Warning. Shots.

It is if it's on Fox.
The stupid-ass reporter gave away the tanks positions (with street name!) == Not too bright.
- GyroLC, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Man, MSNBC must be *really* mad at FoxNews.
- diargasm, on 10/12/2007, -4/+6wow, if there was any doubt that the media is biased against Arabs, there it is. But It's Israel? They can't be bad guys? wow... I'm not an Arab or Muslim, but I sympathize with them.
- zack97, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1wha?? how?
- hakamarob, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7really, who wouldn't like to take a shot at a fox crew?
- leehodge, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1@hakamarob
really, who wouldn't like to take a shot at a fox crew?
Shoot the free press - isn't that what totalitarians do first - blackjack75, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I am sorry. What's the relation between free press and fox news?
- leehodge, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2@blackjack75
I am sorry. What's the relation between free press and fox news?
So you are for killing members of the press that you don't agree with - Hitler would be so proud.
- leehodge, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1@hakamarob
- John184, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3 No one was shooting at the news crew. That shot was most likely at the forward observer sitting next to the bilboard. If you hear the "Zing" and not the "Pop" than the bullet is close but your not being shot at.
- ryanknapper, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1#1: I hate that the studio anchors try to give advice even though there's a thirty second delay.
#2: At the end of the segment when the reporter is in the van, what's going on with the window behind him? Looks like a video on loop.- TheBarge, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2You dont know what you're talking about. There's no 30 second delay. If there was it would be quite hard for them to have a conversation with him. Where is he with a delay like that? On the way to Mars?
- ryanknapper, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Studio: How are you?
