- sensoukami, on 10/13/2007, -0/+4Hmmm...how long before Rush, Bill, Ann, and the rest smear the general. They'll probably accuse him of being a "phony soldier" or question his patriotism, or say he was incompetent...
- sharpfork, on 10/13/2007, -0/+2From the article I'm sure the bush apologists will Vomment (comment+ vomit) on without reading: " In one of his first major public speeches since leaving the Army in late 2006, retired Lt. Gen. Ricardo S. Sanchez blamed the administration for a “catastrophically flawed, unrealistically optimistic war plan” and denounced the current “surge” strategy as a “desperate” move that will not achieve long-term stability." And there has "been a glaring and unfortunate display of incompetent strategic leadership within our national leaders,” he said, adding later in his remarks that civilian officials have been “derelict in their duties” and guilty of a “lust for power.”
This is damming stuff.
What do those of you who blindly support bush have to say about what this former "general on the ground" has to say? Can you do anything other than attack the messenger?
