Fires in California Continue to Rage [PICS]

boston.com — Although over 1,400 fires have been contained in California this season, there still remain 330 active fires, with warmer, drier weather in the forecast. As of yesterday (7/6) there were nearly 20,000 people involved in the firefighting effort statewide, and a large swath of California had been designated a federal disaster area by President Bush

  • therealBEANS, on 07/07/2008, -0/+1I was wondering when this would all hit Digg. I live in Goleta, I have been watching the flames since last Tuesday. We have been breathing smoke and walking around it ash for the past week. It is amazing to see the flames first hand especially at night. They think someone started it, we get these fires every time at the same time every year, this one has been the worst.
