'Fingerprinting Bill' Forced on Texas Teachers
jonesreport.com — Austin ISD is a pilot district for Texas Senate Bill 9, the "Fingerprinting Bill," that will require teachers to submit their fingerprint into a massive national database for a criminal history background check and the data will also be shared with the FBI and Texas DPS. The bill went into effect in January 2008.

- willhahn, on 01/30/2008, -0/+1Ditto to what "gstyles22" said! My wife is a teacher in Plano, and I will definitely say something to her about this. BTW, Plano ISD has just made it policy to have all "guests" sign a form stating that they are not convicted sex offenders before they can enter a school campus. Thus, I must sign this before I am allowed to pick up our daughter or go in to meet my wife. I am greatly insulted by this! Besides, what REAL sex offender would ever admit that they were one?!
- mikerobles432, on 02/29/2008, -0/+0I Don't think this Is wrong its a way of protecting our kids and family from people these days If theirs nothing to hide then their should not be a problem with doing this its an easy process..
