Financial crisis, amero, and Pakistan
thepost.com.pk — What does Pakistan know that we don't (or at least willing to speak of in the light of day)? The Amero! Great! I can't wait to move yet further into the dismal government created abyss! Let's tether ourselves to another couple corrupt governments.

There are similar ideas for protectionism, or to turn the US into a theocracy, to ban religion, to ban guns, to make guns mandatory, etc, etc, etc. Don't hold your breath for any of them to happen.
For all the accusations and tinfoil-hat conspiracy theories, no-one has produced any evidence that anyone in power in the US or Canada is interested in any "Amero". Nor have they produced any credible explanation as to WHY they would want it. - pcg2105, on 10/13/2008, -0/+1A lot of things folks thought six months ago that were considered conspiracy theories. Don't be so foolish to think that this is not a real possibility given the state of the US Dollar and how it will affect the global economy.
- RogerStrong, on 10/13/2008, -0/+1Except that the state of the US Dollar makes it LESS likely, not more. Canada isn't going to tie itself to a sinking ship. In fact it's distancing itself from the US economy as fast as it can, setting up free trade deals with other countries.
