The "war" has cost thousands of lives and is now nothing more than a front for the narcos. Ending it will be a blessing for Colombia.
It is also very hopeful that Chavez is saying this and opens the possibility to more integration among Venezuela, Colombia and their neaighbors.
¡Aleluya and muchas gracias Hugo! - yellowcakewalk, on 06/09/2008, -0/+5Sometimes it's hard to believe people criticize Chavez yet praise Bush. Bush has killed hundreds of thousands in wars of aggression. Chavez, for all his faults, has saved some lives, started no wars, killed no one. Yet the neocons still see Chavez as their bete noir.
- Jimmyb207, on 06/09/2008, -0/+3Last winter, Hugo Chavez offered Venezuelan heating oil at a big discount to low income families here in the North East, USA. Bush and his Administration are not the least bit concerned about freezing Americans. I don't agree with Hugo Chavez on alot of things, BUT, I respect and like him way more than George W. Bush. who is nothing more than a punk who needs to have his ass kicked.
- caferrell, on 06/09/2008, -0/+3A stupid, rich-kid punk who has never had to work in his life, who has consistently screwed up everything that he has done, irresponsible and self centered. He really does need to have his ass kicked. Too bad it didn't happen earlier to teach him a little humility.
