  • sensoukami, on 10/27/2007, -0/+3I applaud Chavez's desire to improve the lot of poor Venezuelans, and I dont' doubt that he was genuinely elected and is genuinely popular. But his 'Bolivarian Revolution' is going to end up on the same scrap heap as the Soviet Union.

    This persisten Left Wing idea in creating a new man; What's up with that? It's the same thing that led to the Cultural Revolution in China. The same thing that led to the Killing Fields in Cambodia. Marx's pipe dream of a 'worker's conscience' has always been just that, and the hard Left keep dreaming that that their warped ideas for society will work if enough people believe. Ain't gonna happen...
