- bsegovia, on 01/22/2008, -0/+1Great work... Excerpt: Let me be perfectly clear: this video is almost entirely garbage. The asteroid will miss by hundreds of thousands of kilometers, so there will be no direct impact. There’s no such thing as a "negative asteroid", like they claim, the plasma discharges they talk about are a totally different phenomenon, and nothing like that has ever been seen in an asteroid, nor will it ever. Asteroids don’t carry charges like that, and wouldn’t couple well with the Earth’s magnetosphere the way they claim anyway.
Jesus, i feel like a tool for blindly digging it. (slaps self) BE MORE RESPONSIBLE WHEN COMING ACROSS EARTH SHATTERING CLAIMS! - dweeb79, on 01/22/2008, -0/+1Why does this matter to people? Does this mean we all run and quit our jobs? Does this mean we need to evcauate100's of millions of people from a location that has yet to be determined? How about we appropriate billions of dollars to the recovery aid?
Unless we get Bruce Willis to destroy the Asteroid, then lets face it people this video is a big who gives a ***** moment. - affy123, on 01/22/2008, -1/+0Just saw this. Anyone with a background in cosmology or more insite on the subject want to chime in.
How likely is this? I'm guessing the media would try to keep this off the airs as long as possible to avoid possible widespread panic/chaos
brb looting
