Sucks to say it but I believe the opiate epidemic will be what finally breaks the drug war. Many thousands of lives are going to get wasted because of America's warped sense of freedom.
    1. Big hits to the black market by ending prohibition on herbs and naturally growing medicines.
    2. Regulate manufactured drugs with a system designed around the harm and addiction potential.
    3. Non violent drug users are isolated from the criminal justice system and deferred to drug courts
    4. Social and family intervention programs.
    5. More education that is truthful.

You could technically take a oxycodone pill, crush it, cook it, and shoot it (or snort it if you were feeling brave)... It's less lethal orally... They point is that you're metabolizing a morphine derivative.

    Lortab is the same *****, except it's mixed with acetaminophen. coincidentally, in southern Texas, black tar is being mixed with Tylenol and sold on the street as "Cheese" as a sort of "starter heroin". I find it funny how the illicit drug market seems to mirror the pharmaceutical industry.
