- louiebaur, on 07/11/2008, -0/+6I hope it works!
- Surferess, on 07/11/2008, -0/+6It would be nice if they could implement it in less than 10-20 years.

...except in this case they are trying to warn people of the quakes, rather then cause Earthquakes... - MyDiggIsBig, on 07/11/2008, -0/+1two words: my dog.

- Barackalypse, on 07/11/2008, -0/+2My proximity system still has a better safety record and always will, don't live within 500 miles of a fault line. The country is full of very nice places to live where the earth isn't sliding against itself waiting to shake you like a British nanny.
- Whoopteedoo, on 07/13/2008, -0/+1Why are they acting like this is a more recent discovery? I recall an article exactly like this within 1-2 years of the '89 quake in Santa Cruz, CA. They say the rocks deep underground "scream" for hours, sometimes days before an event. That's why animals flee or behave oddly, because they can hear it, and we can't.
