Digg Townhall Tonight!
Tune into the live Digg townhall tonight at 5:00pm PST/8:00pm EST.
Digg allows Bury Brigades to bury Iraqi Vets
getcnn.com — Watching latte drinking, beer guzzling millionaires allow important issues that involve not only our Vets, but our Country, to be buried as a story is an abomination.
- 44 diggs
- digg it
- alapoet, on 07/23/2008, -11/+9I don't care about the latte drinking and beer guzzling.
But it is a damn shame what the Bury Brigades are doing to good content on Digg.
These pathetic losers can't create or promote content, so they just get their ya-ya's on by destroying what others do. - hmd1987, on 07/23/2008, -12/+5well well well.....something needs to be done about these bury brigades....
- canewediggit, on 07/24/2008, -1/+12yawn
- hmd1987, on 07/24/2008, -2/+1you must be part of them
- canewediggit, on 07/24/2008, -0/+4and you must be new here
- canewediggit, on 07/24/2008, -1/+12yawn
- timethief, on 10/30/2008, -11/+4If they are burying quality content and that's a detriment to the Digg community as a whole.
- Herkimer56, on 07/24/2008, -0/+13What if they're burying crap like this blogspam?
- Surferess, on 07/23/2008, -5/+2I think the burying and the top 20 diggers are different issues. If you had spent any time looking at the submissions of Mr Babyman, MakiMaki, Zaibatsu, MSaleem, etc, you would see they do a ton of submissions. It seems to me that they would hardly have the time or desire to find and submit all those articles, digg as many stories a day as they are digging AND bury a bunch of stories too. More likely, the majority of the buries are probably not from people who actually do submissions.
Look, I totally commiserate with you. I had a story yesterday that got 223 diggs, had over 20 comments and still didn't go to the FP, however it isn't fair to continually blame the top diggers every single time. - michaelpinto, on 07/23/2008, -0/+18Why doesn't the above article link to the buried story? And why doesn't the author have his name on the article?
- mmmmmbiscuits, on 07/24/2008, -2/+8"I currently have a story at the top of digg that should have gone over to the front page hours ago. The bury brigade came out when it reached 100, and they started burying user comments, and I’m sure they buried the article itself. This speculation that my article is being buried is because Digg will not show the bury numbers."
Translation: WAAAAAAAAAH!!! I want front page and the bad, bad men won't let me have it!
But seriously, welcome to the world of every person who has ever submitted a non-left-leaning article on digg. I would have given you a pity digg if you hadn't left out a link to your submission. I bury 99.9% of makispam, msaleemspam and mrbabyspam so just start doing the same. - ssn697, on 07/24/2008, -0/+5Don't drink beer or latte's, yet I am STILL burying this big load of whiny bitching...
