- sockpuppets, on 10/12/2007, -12/+174Quick, all of us to the Diggmobile. Don't forget your paper iphones and chopsticks, the drive to Missouri's a long one.
- Lokix, on 10/12/2007, -10/+70How does digging this up help anything? Yeah the offchance that a Digg user wanders outside and sees the kid. THATS gonna happen....
Yeah, yeah Digg me down, don't care. - addictedidol, on 10/12/2007, -30/+77I hope they find him alive and ok.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -12/+54I understand that this is really sad for the family, and I hope the kid is alive, but we don't need every missing child report on Digg.
- 2000, on 10/12/2007, -7/+49@hamandcheese
It's "I couldn't care less" you heartless, ignorant bastard. - frank3000, on 10/12/2007, -3/+37-"Did we say the Gunderson girl was lost? We meant Gutierrez"
-"What?? Thats not news!!"
/Family Guy - vendeep, on 10/12/2007, -2/+32i hate Nancy grace
- WaterDragon, on 10/12/2007, -5/+30"PIC of Ben Ownby."
If this kid was any kind of a nerd (note the glasses) , wouldn't he go by the name Ben Pwnby?
(sorry...it had to be said) - djSyndrome, on 10/12/2007, -3/+27You do realize that geeks glued to Digg are possibly the *least* likely sort to actually go outside and, you know, run into missing people. Right?
- hamandcheese, on 10/12/2007, -15/+37I have a life and it doesn't involve video games at all. So don't become all self-righteous on me because I don't care about a kid I don't even know in a country I don't even live in. I have my own problems and so does this world and it shouldn't be over shadowed by a missing kid.
And your comment about me getting lost. If I became lost I'd appreciated it if someone would look for me but I wouldn't want my face plastered all across the country. It is just as good to inform people around the area that he is missing from. Did you think people in Ohio went out in their back yards to look for the lost climbers? No. It's just another sympathy story and I have more important things to care about. - hamandcheese, on 10/12/2007, -8/+27Finally someone who is able to be honest and not pretend to have sympathy. It's only human not to care.
- JamesConnolly, on 10/12/2007, -1/+18Nancy Grace is a fraud. She's ***** awful. Too bad she can never get her story straight with what happened with her fiance.
- Rezzy, on 10/12/2007, -2/+17No digg for Nancy Grace's involvement
- TheWorm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+15PIC of Ben Ownby.

Best wishes to his family. - gumby05, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15If only Nancy Grace could be a guest on her own show.
- sockpuppets, on 10/12/2007, -2/+14http://www.google.com/search?q=missing+13-year-old+Missouri+student&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a
"Results 1 - 10 of about 148,000 for missing 13-year-old Missouri student."
Get some coffee brewing, I'm going to be here all night. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12"Will it kill Nancy Grace?"
Well, we can only hope so.
I wonder if she'll drive this kid's parents to kill themselves too. - AnotherName, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13***** nancy grace, making money off of other's misery.
- cakulbet, on 10/12/2007, -4/+16Nancy Grace is the devil, I'm sure the parents will end up killing themselves after appearing on her show.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+16Im not going to digg because you shouldn't tell people to digg up a story.
- noghead, on 10/12/2007, -3/+14this guy is just trying to get a lot of diggs on his story. Lets all digg...because watching a number count up will find they boy!! (Sarcastic)
Now if you are reading this, you are prolly thinking..."bury this comment what an *****"...but really...do you really think this is going to help find the kidd...i mean what are the chances? What are we going to do, get up and go look for the boy? - GenerousLinus, on 10/12/2007, -5/+16How in the hell is this breaking news from 3 hours ago? I saw this on the news on Tuesday night at 6PM Pacific. It's 28 hours later and it says this story is 3 hours old? Seems like it's a little late to help on the Amber Alert...
- virtualball, on 10/12/2007, -3/+14hamandcheese: a boy is missing and this is alerting a total of at least 15-20 thousand people. I hate to see what happens if you go missing, would you want us to be alerted so at least MAYBE 3 more people look? God, a lot of people have no heart any more and it's disgusting that you would EVER say that.
- sleepandtvgood, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11If that kid was black then he wouldn't even be on Nancy Grace's show and wouldn't be getting this much attention. And i strongly agree with all those who commented before me stating the fact that digging this story will not do *****.
- MeatBiProduct, on 10/12/2007, -2/+12cause kids go missing all the time but not many japanese schools have chopstick tests. DUH
- patw85, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11digging isn't going to save this kids life...unless he's in a well, then maybe it would
- p0ss, on 10/12/2007, -4/+13"Lets start diggin and make a difference."
as powerful as the digg effect is, how many criminals has it caught so far?
It is good to feel like your doing something, but what are we achieving here? - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9***** Nancy Grace. Hope the boy is found.
- addictedidol, on 10/12/2007, -11/+20@rockforever
What am I updating, as you so elaborately put it? MY feelings for the story?
I just said I hope they find him alive and ok, what is so bad about that? - Spankenstein, on 10/12/2007, -3/+11At first I thought to myself, "This is an odd topic for what is predominantly a technology blog..." But then I realized the kid was WHITE and I just dropped everything and started looking. This is America, and when a white kid goes missing or falls down a well, it's time to stop what you're doing and help out. I checked my entire neighborhood. Of course, since this item was filed under "World News", this is obviously an international tragedy. Also, I'm guessing the kid could be anywhere. So please, folks, check your respective countries.
I'm sorry. It's not that I don't hope the kid is well or that his parents find him. I sincerely hope everything turns out well. But, before you dig me down, consider whether this is the right place for this type of news. Also consider whether or not you cut out the pictures on your milk cartons and put them up on your refrigerators. - swiftekho, on 10/12/2007, -5/+13Lets get this bastard Digg... The more exposure the better chance this kid can get home safe.
- wm2010russ, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9addicted idol
i think he was replying to a spammer, who you probably blocked. it just looks like hes replying to you since you cant see the spammers comments. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9i understand the good intentions of digging this story. hell, i hate hearing about missing children. if you only knew how many children go missing every day. okay, we can harness the power of digg, but, digging every missing child story doesn't seem so, i don't know, smart. if you want to take advantage of digg's popularity, perhaps email kevin or something. dunno, just my $0.02
oh, and nancy is the last person we should call, why not, give us a county police number????? jesus. - patw85, on 10/12/2007, -4/+12More than 2000 kids are reported missing everyday why is this any different? http://www.missingkids.com/missingkids/servlet/PageServlet?LanguageCountry=en_US&PageId=1993
- whiledo, on 03/25/2009, -0/+7I'm torn between my desire to help find a lost kid and my absolute hatred of Nancy Grace...
- sambtravis, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7I'm all for helping the kid but ***** that bitch and her show. She doesn't deserve the traffic.
- dan9876, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Digging this story = finding the boy ????????
Nah!! Don't think so... - Chairboy, on 10/12/2007, -3/+10I checked under my couch, he's not there.
- KnightRicer, on 10/12/2007, -3/+10Seriously, and when did digg become the place for "OMG pass on this letter to 20 other people and we can save him it really works!" I swear you'd think this is facebook or something.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8haha
2000 HONDA RECON STOLEN!! DIGG UP DIGG UP!!! -BROWNS MILLS AREA, NJ! c'mon guys! :( :( :( - sithmat, on 10/12/2007, -37/+433000 soliders are dead in Iraq. Millions of civilians are displaced in Iraq. And the world is supposed to drop everything and look for ONE kid who is MISSING?
Give me a break.
Oh, and the kid is white and blond. What a coincidence! - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Anything Nancy Grace touches turns to *****.
What is she hoping to do - murder another person?
She should not be on television. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Ummm.daylight...just to let you know...I had a brief e-mail conversation with the people at Google about your practices trying to get those videos up the rankings. They were very intrigued at what you are doing and told me to keep them informed, since you are violating EVERY websites terms of service.
Guess what will happen if you keep it up? You know those videos that you want to get ranked higher? They are going to get REMOVED. and the account holders will get banned.
So please...keep it up. And for those that are against his spamming, send Google an e-mail like I did. - knightblade2oo4, on 10/12/2007, -5/+11I hate to see this kind of ***** but...
Posted below is a link that states 2000+ kids are pronounced missing every DAY. I'm going to have to make the dick-move and say this story is not going to make much of a difference at all. - sambtravis, on 10/12/2007, -9/+15What kind of a difference do you think this will make? Is it going to stop the war in iraq? Pedophiles going to stop grabbing children? Will it kill Nancy Grace? Digg is an internet website which means the people on it are all over the WORLD not in some podunk town in missouri bringing out the coondogs to track down some white kid. If you really want to make a difference donate money to some fund for lost children or AIDS or something like that. This won't do crap.
- michaelb1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6The kid must have had an iPhone otherwise it wouldn;t be on digg.
- MikeDawg, on 10/12/2007, -4/+10Marking story as lame. . .
- britkev1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6I am with you on the Digg to find the kid but man do I hate Nancy Grace.....BITCH!!
- p0ss, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8video of the kid getting kidnapped, or it didn't happen
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Digging this story won't help the kid. Its not like its raising money or something. I do hope they find the kid though. And Nancy Grace sucks. Anyway, Good Luck.

What is Digg?
