reuters.com — It would connect to online music services via a Wi-Fi Internet connection, and Dell would likely price the model at less than $100.

- Brew, on 07/30/2008, -0/+2...I really do not see their angle. Why would I be compelled to by a dell mp3 player. There would have to be something significantly better about it to make me want to buy one. But most likely it is just another cheap mp3 player.
- picor96, on 07/30/2008, -1/+0Dell should get back to the basics & put more focus into the reliability of their XPS laptop models...
- amandaw33, on 07/30/2008, -0/+2Unfortunately, the online music services won't be able to compete with iTunes. It'd be nice if iTunes had to open up their standard and allow other devices to sync with their music store to really open up the MP3 device market. Sadly, this will fade away just as the Axim's did when Dell doesn't make any significant money off them.
- paws588, on 07/30/2008, -0/+2I would like to see them try and upset the market but from the way the article describes it there is nothing special about it, nothing new that and ipod can't do, it will probably just be another cheap player on the market.
- dajernts, on 07/30/2008, -0/+2Like prob most people I'm skeptical but at the same time I can't wait to see what they can come up with. It's an odd time though. The pmp market seems to be getting smaller and younger as phones develop more media playing technology, so I wonder why they would shoot for something like this now. Of course they do ship a large percentage of the worlds computers which means if they can bundles things together in the right way they might have shot of gaining some market share.
