Death toll in Peruvian earthquake continues to rise

andeancurrents.blogspot.com — The number of dead from the massive 7.9 magnitude earthquake in Southern Peru continued to climb Thursday, topping 115 by early morning. Peruvian President Alan Garcia declared a state of emergency in the department of Ica - the hardest hit by the temblor. Damage in the capital of Lima seemed limited but reports were still coming in.
