- Morreti, on 12/26/2008, -11/+93Good thing this guy was a regular church member or he might have done something really crazy...
/sarcasm - inactive, on 12/26/2008, -11/+79This is just horrible news. This guy was a selfish loser and a coward.
I went to submit this and when I was at the duplicates screen the popular one was full of people joking about this. I make fun of lots of things, but diggers went too far here.
http://digg.com/odd_stuff/Santa_Goes_On_Pyscho_Ram ... - TechMike, on 12/26/2008, -4/+65Again, wrong order. Kills 8 then himself? If you're gonna kill yourself after, do it first!
- inactive, on 12/26/2008, -7/+60The point he is making is that RELIGIOSITY HAS NO EFFECT ON MORALITY.
So religious people need to get off their pedestal when it comes to morality and join the rest of us in humanity that have working brains. - inactive, on 12/26/2008, -6/+49Wow! Keep us posted on when you hear about future news stories. This is fascinating stuff.
- unknownpoltroon, on 12/26/2008, -3/+41He shot the ***** 8 year old in the face??? What kind of scum shoots an 8 year old???
- Spuby, on 12/26/2008, -2/+36"The massacre began when an 8-year-old girl answered Pardo's knock at the door" it's things like this that make me wish there was a hell and this guy wouldn't just get away doing this by shooting himself.
- jmantra, on 12/26/2008, -0/+33FTA - "I'm just — this is shocking," Detanna told the Times. "He was the nicest guy you could imagine. Always a pleasure to talk to, always a big smile."
They always are "a really nice guy" - letuescarpe, on 12/26/2008, -3/+33Yeah, in Europe he would have taken the children and forced them to live in his basement as secret underground sex slaves. And in the Middle East it would have been either been deemed an "honor killing," or he would have married the 8 year old girl that answered the door. Either way he wouldn't be punished. And in Africa he would have just raped everyone.
This "only in America" BS really shows your ignorance of world events. Might want to work on that before you open your mouth again. - JamesBondJr, on 12/26/2008, -2/+30Why the hell would anyone do that, and just straight up shooting an 8 year old in the face?
- dankers, on 12/26/2008, -1/+28Remind me of the movie 'Anger Management' and the quote in it by Jack
Dr. Buddy Rydell: Dave, there are two kinds of angry people - explosive and implosive. Explosive is the type of individual you see screaming at the cashier for not taking his coupon. Implosive is the cashier who remains quiet day after day and then finally shoots everyone in the store. You're the cashier.
Dave Buznik: No, no, no. I'm the guy in the frozen food section diallin' 911. I swear. - doublefelix, on 12/26/2008, -4/+30It's enough to make me want to believe in hell. Because I'd like to see this person go to it.
- yosserhughes, on 12/26/2008, -7/+27Can you tell me of a single thing his bitch did that would warrant shooting an 8 year old in the face, you *****.
- reed311, on 12/26/2008, -4/+24Indeed, there is nothing funny about this.
- Paranor01, on 12/26/2008, -0/+19yes, she is still alive. I wouldn't say thankfully yet because we don't know what else she will have to go through.
Is she an orphan now? How will this affect her mentally? etc etc
sometimes being a survivor is worse than not surviving... - jedinate, on 12/26/2008, -1/+20These people who go on rampages, kill a bunch of people and THEN kill themselves, need to just start with themselves...
- MaxD, on 12/26/2008, -0/+16That the 8y.o. survived is probably the best news I've heard with respect to this thing!
- joel8x, on 12/26/2008, -2/+18'"Christmases were that special time of the year, it meant so much to them," Rosa Ordaz, a family friend of the victims, told KCBS-TV.'
Really? Why do dumb reporters feel the need to include "man on the street" accounts that add nothing but obvious space-filling drivel? Does the AP have a minimum word count per story? - SupaFlyTNT, on 12/26/2008, -0/+16Either way she's going to be ***** for life; she's going to have post traumatic stress and possibly may never mentally recover with the fact her family may be dead also not to mention she will associate Christmas with this event....so very unfortunate here.
Suicide was way too easy of a punishment for this guy. - Paranor01, on 12/26/2008, -5/+20well said! +++ diggs
- inactive, on 12/26/2008, -1/+15It is rather common for a woman to completely eviscerate a man in a divorce to the best of her legal ability. But that is mostly on the advice of her lawyer who is trying to make more money for himself.
It isn't misogyny. It is reality. - Totz83, on 12/26/2008, -3/+16Dude, an 8 yo girl got shot in the face. It's not hilarious.
- Baronvontito1, on 12/26/2008, -3/+16INCREDIBLE COMMENT!! A+++++++ WOULD READ AGAIN!!!!! ++
- inactive, on 12/26/2008, -3/+16Yeah, cause the rest of the world is immune to butchery of it's fellow man.
- theOster, on 12/26/2008, -2/+15thankfully, she's still alive.
- OutsideofDreams, on 12/26/2008, -1/+13"The massacre began when an 8-year-old girl answered Pardo's knock at the door. Pardo, carrying what appeared to be a large present, pulled out a handgun and shot her in the face, then began shooting indiscriminately as about 25 partygoers tried to flee, police said at a news conference.
A 16-year-old girl was shot in the back, and a 20-year-old woman broke her ankle when she escaped by jumping from a second-story window. Those two, and the 8-year-old, remained hospitalized Christmas Day. All were expected to recover."
Wait...the 8-year-old that got shot in the face survived? That poor child... - thegrantman, on 12/26/2008, -1/+13Hold on.
Making jokes here may be inappropriate but to call it sociopathic is ridiculous. - inactive, on 12/26/2008, -1/+13The human psyche is extremely fragile.
- doctorfungi, on 12/26/2008, -0/+12But I bet you take in everything independent blogs say, word for word, right?
- dorianh49, on 12/26/2008, -0/+11Well. "Holidays" are the most depressing time of year for many people. With the economic meltdown, prepare to see a lot more of this, as people stress out much more when they're worried about money, on top of everything else.
- inactive, on 12/26/2008, -5/+16Bong Garcia
- inactive, on 12/26/2008, -0/+10In Africa he wolud have hacked everyone including the neighbors to death with a machete.
- OutsideofDreams, on 12/26/2008, -0/+10Agreed, I just hope that she turns out ok.
- Mujokan, on 12/26/2008, -2/+12You pack a concealed weapon at your family Christmas party? The chances of this happening to you are millions to one.
- yosserhughes, on 12/26/2008, -2/+12You lost me there Ed, what's his point other than the guy made a bad choice in a wife and shot an 8 year old in the face to get back at her?
- inactive, on 12/26/2008, -3/+13What the ***** are you talking about? No one but idiots on either side are mentioning this.
- inactive, on 12/26/2008, -2/+12Uh, it's called "Psycho Killer".
- WriterSD, on 12/26/2008, -2/+12So sad. :(
- AmandaQ, on 12/26/2008, -2/+11Oooh. Prophet of doooom! Tell us more!
- sccrplyr40, on 12/26/2008, -3/+12were you born after 9-11-01?
- Slackdragon, on 12/26/2008, -0/+9The dude also rigged a car to explode. Given the absence of guns, I'm sure he could have improvised, say, a fire that blocked all exits from outside the house. Or chucking molotovs through windows, etc.
The man thought this through. Even without guns, he was a very dangerous man.
Removing a helpful tool like firearms is just knocking down cobwebs while leaving the spider alone. Mentally healthy people don't do these types of things. How about a non-corrupt court system where men aren't gutted in your typical divorce or criminals are treated better than the victims? Or a healthcare system where someone can get competent, complete and confidential mental health care? Even a stable economy helps. - inactive, on 12/26/2008, -2/+10Suicide guarantees it allegedly.
- markhiler, on 12/26/2008, -0/+8How can you believe in Hell and not be religious? Just wondering.
- inactive, on 12/26/2008, -1/+9"Religion can make people good."
So otherwise they would be bad? I say *****. I say your goodness or badness is a product of your experiences. And that the experiences from religion are not inherently good. They are superstitious and foster ignorance which can lead to things such as violence against gays and abortion clinics, etc.
How terrifying of a world would it be if people only don't murder and pillage because of a religion that has no factual basis for belief?
Imagine if definitive proof that christianity was ***** was discovered. So damning that belief would be silly even by the previously faithful. Do you REALLY think that people would go on rampages? - inactive, on 12/26/2008, -2/+10Get over yourself, your opinion is irrelevant
- inactive, on 12/26/2008, -3/+10Quite frankly I'm shocked this doesn't happen more often than it does. The family court system consistently bends the males over and gives it to them without a kiss. They are then expected to live with the decision regardless of whether it is even remotely fair. If men weren't as domesticated and emasculated as they currently are, the family court travesty would have ended long ago.
- RadicalEdward, on 12/26/2008, -5/+12That's his point.
- RadicalEdward, on 12/26/2008, -1/+8someone who's clearly not thinking... uh... clearly.
- oldhick, on 12/26/2008, -2/+9Right, cause I couldn't name other countries that are perverse... Are people really this ignorant? I guess you answered that question for us.
- Residents, on 12/26/2008, -0/+6Being mad enough about your divorce to shoot your ex wife is nothing new, but shooting an 8 year old in the face on the way into a house to slaughter many is just completely ***** up and horrible.
