Dead Colombian spy had microchips implanted in her body
nytimes.com — FARC computer files obtained by the NYT would offer rare insight into the cloak-and-dagger nature of Latin America ’s longest-running guerrilla conflict, including what appeared to be the killing of a Colombian government spy with microchips implanted in her body.

- mal1964, on 03/31/2008, -3/+1"one under her breast" The chest i think, if it was in the boob wouldn't that be the bottom of the boob? Maybe not thats just how i read it.
- buadach, on 03/31/2008, -15/+20This just screams of US anti Venezuelan propaganda.
- cygnus2112, on 03/31/2008, -4/+14And if the documents are true and Venezuela has been funding the Colombian insurgency?
- Acewrap, on 03/31/2008, -6/+11I guess Columbia has an issue with Venezuela and we should stay the ***** out of it.
- smacksaw, on 03/31/2008, -1/+8Except that American consumers are funding the insurgents in Columbia trying to topple the gov't.
It's not as simple as you make it out to be. I'm a non-interventionist, but that doesn't mean I absolve my country of all responsibility. You might want the gov't out, but then again people could stop doing coke...- Acewrap, on 03/31/2008, -3/+5People will never stop doing drugs. It's just the way it is. Legal or illegal, people will find some way to get out of their own heads. That's human nature.
If the Colombian or Venezuelan government wants to spray the crops, I have no problem with it. If we are sticking our nose in where it doesn't belong, then I do have a problem.
Your opinion may differ.

- AriseNow, on 03/31/2008, -4/+3Then that would mean Venezuela is an interventionist warmonger, they're becoming just like us!
- Th3Chicken, on 04/01/2008, -0/+2
Colombia, not Columbia; Jeez

- smacksaw, on 03/31/2008, -9/+4Cue the "Latin American Leftists Can Do No Wrong Diggdown Freedom Fighters" LOL
Look. Ecuador and Venezuela want to say the data is fake? Fine. Then renounce the actions of FARC. It's as simple as that. If the US goes to Iraq to spread democracy and secure oil, if Iran found documents saying that the US was trying to install a democratic gov't and use Halliburton and KBR to manage Iraq's oil reserves, we would all say "SO WHAT?"
The information that supposedly implicates Ecuador and Venezuela...***** cowards. Either overtly support FARC or accept that you got caught. It's ridiculous and endemic of the sort of cowards that take hostages for ransom. To deny doing something when you've been caught - for god's sake, even BUSH came correct on Iraq having no WMDs. Bush!- lamiaconfitor, on 03/31/2008, -1/+2yeah, cause thats totally what a country would do.
- Wronghead, on 03/31/2008, -4/+12$20 says we're going to war with Venezuela and that they get added to the "Axis of Evil®."
Any takers?- lamiaconfitor, on 03/31/2008, -0/+3nope. bad odds.
