DIGG the NRA! Supreme Court rules in favor of gun ownership

nra.org — Dismayed by the lack of marksmanship shown by their troops, Union veterans Col. William C. Church and Gen. George Wingate formed the National Rifle Association in 1871. The primary goal of the association would be to "promote and encourage rifle shooting on a scientific basis," according to a magazine editorial written by Church.

  • RuffRidr, on 06/26/2008, -0/+1The NRA (and a lot of other groups) worked hard for this ruling. I plan on showing my gratitude to them by upgrading my membership to a lifetime one. With many more lawsuits to follow, and discussions on just what a "reasonable restriction" is, we need them to be stronger than ever.
