What better way to control them than to tell them what they can and cannot do based on some ***** mumbo jumbo - unless of course you have the money, then you can just buy your freedom by cutting the government a check. The Earth has been warmer, MUCH warmer, and actually saw a decline in the average global temperature during the most rapid and dirtiest industrialization after World War II through about 1980.

This reminds me of this Polish scientist in the movie "Expelled" seriously telling Ben Stein that there is more academic and scientific freedom in Poland than there is in the US. So you have to go to the former Communist countries of Europe to find intellectual freedom anymore. Let's fight before we become enslaved as they were.

    Klaus alleged that the global warming was being championed by scientists and other environmentalists whose careers and funding requires selling the public on global warming.

    "It is in the hands of climatologists and other related scientists who are highly motivated to look in one direction only," Klaus said.

    What you call mumbojumbo because your mind cannot comprehend is generally accepted as global warming caused by man by EVERY SINGLE meteorological organization in the world.
    Fact is if it wasnt Al Gore saying it and someone more likable we would not even be discussing the validity of it
    • 8thAAFWW2, on 05/28/2008, -1/+8Most of the climatologists in North America (70%) think man-made global warming is a fraud (Including the past head of the US Hurricane Center). Also the CO2 Models in ice cores pulled out of the Arctic & Antarctic only match over recent history(Last 500 years) 80%,. Whereas the solar cycle matches global temperature change over the last 20,000 years over 98%. The UN has just come out (Albeit Grudgingly ) that Global Temperatures have not risen since 1998 (They say its just a pause-Hm-mm) This is just a way for the left to get government funding and to attack the free market system. The Earth has been warming but its because of the 15,000 year solar cycle not man made global warming.

  • evilbob333, on 05/28/2008, -0/+5It's a interesting point on how people who lived under oppression and are now free are more appreciative freedom, are more wary of attempts to subvert freedom, and more likely to defend their freedoms than people who have had those freedoms all their lives. That being said, Al Gore has yet to accept a debate on Global Warming, despite offering to debate anyone on the topic. I don't think that word means what he thinks it means.

The US being the most free country in the world is the worst of course. Who gets a pass? North Korea, Iran, China and any country run by murderous ideologues.

That all the have is Bush sucks and if you ask them why he sucks. Its only the war which they hate, but they really don't know why besides that.
