- LordMalok, on 03/08/2008, -3/+4Scary (and hard to believe in this day and age) story. Great read.
- starbabe, on 03/08/2008, -1/+8It is really scary that for the cost of a few needles that they would risk peoples lives. Bunch of greedy bastards!
- Syphon0928, on 03/08/2008, -0/+6Unfortunately, that's the world for ya. Run by money.
- dsmx, on 03/09/2008, -1/+3Now think of the damage when they privatise the nations infrastructure.
- theinept, on 03/09/2008, -0/+2What's really scary is that needles cost just nickels apiece and that's in volumes an individual might buy at retail. With syringes, it's like a quarter apiece. Imagine what a large organization would pay in bulk. They were literally saving a few bucks!
- DigitAl56K, on 03/08/2008, -1/+11How can any professional be so criminal as to re-use needles?! Hell, I bet every single digger knows better than that! Even the thought that people are still doing this kind of thing today would make me scared to go see a doctor...
- Nudar, on 03/09/2008, -0/+1Technically it was the syringe and not the needle. The syringe is then attached to the IV and the medication injected. The needle never touches the patient.
- CuffLInk, on 03/08/2008, -9/+1Rickin is incredibly toxic to humans... it's on the same level as arsenic.

- Falldog, on 03/09/2008, -1/+8Starbabe gets props for managing to fit two headlines in one.
- dolphus, on 03/09/2008, -2/+4Well written blog from a local source. Thanks!
- Gustomucho, on 03/09/2008, -1/+6FTA : Clinic operators decided to SAVE MONEY by REUSING syringes, single drug doses, etc.
Shouldn't they put slot machine in the clinic to make more money? I mean, for f... sake here in Montreal we give syringe to junkies so they don't get infected... - McReynolds, on 03/09/2008, -1/+2To save a few bucks??? Is that a junkie house of a licensed medical clinic.
- borez, on 03/09/2008, -3/+1Such a reliable info source the blog world
- Destructo123, on 03/09/2008, -1/+1well yes, it is reliable, if you read the rest of his blogs you'd know he keeps up on the world in his area.

http://digg.com/health/Health_Clinic_Crisis_In_Las ... - RaidenWoW, on 03/09/2008, -1/+3Who read the headline and wished/thought someone had just made a Las Vegas map for Crysis? Anyone? :
- chemdiva, on 03/09/2008, -0/+2I don't know if you can blame the reuse of needles on the nature of the health care system. We had a scandal recently in Alberta where a hospital was found to be improperly cleaning instruments, washing them in tap water rather than following the correct sterilization technique. I think these sort of things are cause by a serious case of the dumb, not by private health care. (Though i would probably be more mad if i had to pay a small fortune for that infection)
- Melf26, on 03/09/2008, -0/+1Holy redundant title Batman!
- chi1thook, on 03/09/2008, -0/+2Isn't that the best thing about Las Vegas, making you life worse than you previously thought possible
- control98408, on 03/09/2008, -0/+2All I read from the title was Crysis, Doom and Sin City
- sdellboy, on 03/09/2008, -0/+2"Dr. Gonzo: I hate to say this, but this place is getting to me. I think I'm getting the fear."
- gginsburg, on 03/09/2008, -0/+1Amazing that they would reuse the same needles to save a couple of bucks while endangering so many.
