Credit markets to Washington: Bailout isn't enough watch!
youtube.com — The credit markets finally got a "bailout" bill, but the stranglehold hasn't let up -- a troubling sign that lenders and investors believe the package will only be a baby step in the long road to economic recovery.

They want more of YOUR taxpayer's money, by creating more debt and printing more dollars. Creating a tsunami of dollars all over the world. Stealing your dollars through inflation! - 2bsbc, on 10/06/2008, -0/+13I cut back to 20 hours per week and decided to go to school again. I raise my own vegetables and started purchasing my protein from local ranchers. I will not bleed one drop of sweat for the banking elite and the illegal handout our representatives decided we are responsible for. I will spend the rest of my life avoiding unjust taxation. ***** 'em all but 6.
- GovernmentSp00k, on 10/06/2008, -0/+6That is a good idea..I've been thinking of planting my own garden. I love vegetables anyway : ) Nothing like growing your own food. You know exactly what is going into your body to feed your cells, your life blood you know? Much healthier than all that processed junk with chemicallized ingredient and preservatives masquerading as edible. My credit cards have been paid and duly canceled. Screw it. If I don't have the cash I don't get the stash ; ) It's amazing how much stuff you buy out of convenience from a plastic card. I'm going to re-think that too, the whole angle. Cut back on spending and devote more to savings. How much stuff does one really need? Pretty soon your possessions start possessing you! Get off the grid one step at a time. I canceled my useless "600 channels with nothing on" cable service and only kept local news and weather. Pretty soon that might be deep-sixed too, completely. The cable co. was shocked. "You want to.....cancel the whole thing, ma'am?" with a most dumbfounded tone of voice. "Yes! "cancel now thank you" I was transferred to another line with a shocked sounding operator who tried to convince me to "keep it" and offered to cut $20 off the monthly price. "No thanks." So it was done. I can watch TV and listen to music over the Internet if so desired. I would love to get off the electricity grid completely too. Solar power..Big panels..No AC. Had a boyfriend who was into that. Power bills were next to zero. No endless "surcharges", "monthly convenience fees" and mysterious taxes. And the entire house ran from a solar powered generator. No AC hum either, from power lines. Powered the jacuzzi too, without a hitch. Gotta research that sometime. If it's even possible to get in this area.
Little steps bring about bigger changes. There's a lot a person can take into their own hands. Personal responsibility is the key. Change on a local level is the best place to begin.

- USNavyBlue, on 10/06/2008, -0/+2That is right the bailout will never be enough until we the people wake up in America that our founding forefathers bequeathed to us homeless! {verbatim} Thomas Jefferson

- why3th, on 10/06/2008, -0/+1Building from the top up when the foundation is crumbling is a bad idea. I may not be an economics expert, but *****, if $700 Billion won't fix it why the ***** do we want to pay more?
