- Anrkist, on 10/10/2007, -36/+177I'm surprised that more people haven't killed themselves after going on his show.
- wusupdoe, on 10/10/2007, -26/+132What's wrong with this story? It's not as if they were accused and someone killed them out of anger. Their crimes were documented on TV, much in a way like America's Most Wanted, and one of them killed the other before offing himself. Bill O'Reilly has nothing to be ashamed of.
Hating Bill O'Reilly for his opinions is one thing, blindly slapping him for the good segments he does is quite another. - facelesscoward, on 10/10/2007, -2/+57Yeah, as strange as it is to say this, Bill O'Reilly didn't do anything wrong here.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -18/+73After reading the article I'm going to have to say this is the first time I've read a digg story on O'Reilly and ain't mad at him.
Who cares these scum killed themselves. Saves one less kid from getting raped. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -16/+50I want to kill myself after I just WATCH his show.
- vertinox, on 10/10/2007, -26/+59Documenting crimes even on TV does not bypass the rule of the law. If a million people see someone murder someone else on live TV it does not mean we can throw trial by jury out the window and hang them on the spot.
You are innocent until proven guilty by a trial by a jury of your peers. If we do not have that we might as well just have lynch mobs or give the authority to cops to be the executionors on the spot. That is not the America I want to live in because that is either Communist China or Anarchist Somalia.
And yeah... It does look bad for them and I doubt a jury would find them innocent, but without that process we are no better than the criminals if we do not give them a fair trial. Just because it was on TV doesn't mean we get to bypass the process.
After all... Its not like we've caught MSM lying about things before no? - wusupdoe, on 10/10/2007, -3/+30The person who bypassed the processes was the accused and this is far different than vigilante justice. This is simply a story of criminals who knew they were guilty, and one of them taking action.
Furthermore, the trial by jury was the thing they feared. Bill O'Reilly was trying to help find them. In custody, they would have gotten their Trial. Had it been vigilante justice, I would be pissed, but it wasn't. - UnknownHero, on 10/10/2007, -8/+29Two less pedos in the world. Good riddance.
- MalaysianMafia, on 10/10/2007, -3/+22Those poor innocent child molesters... oh wait...
Good job, O'Reilly, for once. - gldfshnpcklejar, on 10/10/2007, -2/+16You don't typically murder your wife and commit suicide unless you're guilty. I can imagine someone being completely innocent and feeling helpless, but it's a little stretch. Ehh. Whatever.
- jxs2151, on 10/10/2007, -5/+19You must be new here....
- SenorCardgage74, on 10/10/2007, -3/+16I saw this segment when it aired. These were people that were IN PHOTOGRAPHS MOLESTING CHILDREN.
They showed the photos, well blacked out the offending parts.
Its not even as if this was a Dateline NBC: Predator thing, where I suppose you could argue theres a grey area WRT guilt.
The FBI wanted these people. Bill (bastard that he is) communicated the message. Molesters went "aw snap" and offed themselves.
Im not usually one for the hangings in the town square mentality, but I really dont think thats what this is.
Two less ***** drawing breath. ***** em. - digmann, on 10/10/2007, -3/+16O'Reilly should show more pictures of wanted child predators so we can save more innocent victims. That's the bottom line. Children are protected by these situations. Good for him.
- Mearn, on 10/10/2007, -1/+14Do you....understand that phrase?
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -6/+17I can't find much sympathy for pedophiles. I hope the death was slow and painful.
- KidVicious, on 10/10/2007, -3/+14I would think that after being on his show you've pretty much cleared the worst experience of your life, and there's nowhere to go but up.
- spicoli77, on 10/10/2007, -4/+15Not a Bill fan, but the O'Reilly factor just did a service to society.
- sfpfc, on 10/10/2007, -4/+15Sorry for double post but timer ended, I don't think it would be fair to blame o'rielly for the death considering it was a wanted poster for child pornography. Seriously though (I don't care which political views are) don't take a direct link, and copy paste to your website.
I actually support wanted posters on tv, but I suppose this website would not want to take that chance that a most wanted criminal could commit suicide. They bashed O'rielly for something that really made sense and then assume he takes pleasure from it. - Notyavgkat, on 10/10/2007, -5/+15yeah O Reilly did NOTHING wrong here....kill all child molestors!!
- miriclaire, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10They weren't GUESTS! LOL Read the article, for heaven's sake!
- anonimuso, on 10/10/2007, -2/+11Why does the article sound like they're mad at O'reilly? Anytime child molesters save the taxpayers money by blowing their own brains out (no trial, no incarceration), it makes me happy. Good job Billy Boy.
- sanman, on 10/10/2007, -6/+15You mean CHILD MOLESTERS DIED because of Bill O'Reilly?
THAT BASTARD! Let's start a petition to PROTECT THEM! - sfpfc, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10a relative called the people wanted by the FBI, then they called the FBI later wtf???
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,292950,00.html - scotticus, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8The spin stops here. lol.
*****. - skunkman62, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8thanks bill for saving the taxpayers money. please bring on more pedophiles on your show.
- ericdano, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7Go Papa Bear!
- madcat033, on 10/10/2007, -4/+11Uhh, we didn't kill them. They killed themselves. I don't understand your argument. Bill O'Reilly merely outed them on his show so they could be caught and put to justice, so they could HAVE a trial by their peers. How is it anyone's fault that they killed themselves?
- motorhead9999, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7I would like to point out one small line in the article that I haven't seen anyone talk about:
"The child victim that the Gauthreauxs photographed in online photos was later identified and found safe."
That means that the FBI had no clue as to the condition or whereabouts of this child. They didn't know if he was alive, dead, being prostituted out or what. For all we know, this kid could have been in an even worse place than he already was. If O'Reilly hadn't put those ***** mug shots up, there's a good chance this kid would have been victimized for years to come. Now hopefully, with authorities having located him, he'll be attended to and given the help he'll need to get on with his life. I don't know what the circumstances of the kids situation was. It may warrant him being placed in foster care if his parents were in on it, or negligent. Either way, this kid is better off today due to what O'Reilly did. - TheRemoteViewer, on 10/10/2007, -8/+15It doesn't really matter if they were guilty or not. If I was accused of being a pedophile on national television I'd probably consider killing myself, and I'm not a kiddy-fiddler. I mean, really, how could you ever live a normal life again after that?
- sfpfc, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6if someone is trying to kill me, then I do whatever it takes to get them from...um...not killing me
- corinth, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6I'm okay with that. Guilt does the work for us.
- DivisibleByZero, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Depending on how detailed O'Reilly's original report was, I might have called them just to make sure first. Imagine how awkward thanksgiving dinner would be that year if you falsely reported your aunt and uncle as child molesters.
- TheRemoteViewer, on 10/10/2007, -3/+8Um, no, it's not so much that people are defending pedophilia, they're just digging down comments where people say that they deserved to die based on a mere accusation, which is quite nuts.
- SquigglyP, on 10/10/2007, -4/+9After seeing that god awful blog / site layout I'm feeling pretty suicidal right now, too. Link to the article on Digg. Link to the article on Digg. Resist the urge to link to your blog. Link directly to the article on Digg. Link to the article on Digg.
- Cykaos, on 10/10/2007, -3/+7Maybe you would but not everyone feels the same way that you do. Don't assume that everyone in the world shares your same opinions and thoughts. Not every is bent on revenge
- Barbarino, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5He is 6'6 Irish guy from Long Island who taught public school in Miami and covered wars in S. America.. Good luck buddy... you'll need it.
- prophet5, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4No one? How about Hitler? Manson? Stalin? Amin?
No one should make broad generalizations. Oh wait. My bad. - wvstephens, on 10/10/2007, -8/+12This should happen to all Pedophile child molesters.
- Cynic66, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5Or been found guilty anyway.
Oh, right, I forgot, the justice system is infallible. - miriclaire, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Um, no, it's not so much that omegaman is basing that on THIS comment thread but on previous stories where the pedophiles came out of the ***** woodwork and buried every comment against pedophiles!
- AlexWills, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5What else does the writer of this article think, besides it being a hit piece on Bill O'Reilly over child molesters?
- bsmang, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5Nonsense... Lots of people certainly do... But all to many who don't are.
- chicoer2001, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5I'm going to defend bill. He put on fugitives. Now if only he would stop blaming the victim like Shawn Hornbeck .
- Barbarino, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Bill is on each state to get Jessica's Law pass, all but 8 have done so and this is the "1st time I ever dugg a BO article"
You people are such losers, I'm convinced zero of you watch his show who bash him, each night he protects kids, I guess it takes people killing themselves for yous to get the message. - miriclaire, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5That is typical nonsense from a bleeding-heart 13 year old girl. MANY [people deserve death--and horrible ones at that.
- Leomarth, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3All emotion aside, I wonder what they actually did, and how old the "child" was. I know by editorial standards, they have to write "child" even when someone is clearly past their child years, as long as they're under 18.
- jlabs, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3This is just one of the many anti-right wing stories featured on the front page of digg. I'm surprised this isn't a link to rawstory.com (80% of the political stories in the past couple of weeks seem to be from this left-wing website).
- kuzotz, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4That's what I'm wondering.
I mean it was completely misused. - DivisibleByZero, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Maybe she killed him but made it look like he did it.
- miriclaire, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5I would like to thank them for saving tax payers all the needless money on a trial! Good riddance.
