Cops with rifles to hit streets this summer 

washingtontimes.com — Metropolitan PD officials said yesterday patrol officers will be issued assault rifles by the summer, after policies on their use are released this month. The Wash Times reported Wednesday that the department is arming the officers with the rifles as part of a national trend to protect them from criminals with increasingly powerful weapons.

The more I oppose the spread of military force in America and the world, the more likely I am to be victimized by it. It's nice to know a fool and a coward like me can get a chance to stand for peace, love, and the words of Jesus Christ. Being a "blessed peacemaker" is getting easier and easier: all you have to do is echo Christ's teachings and call murder, by any name, a crime.
