Cops: Two attacked by bat-wielding group of three in Elmont

newsday.com — It was 6:23 p.m. Sunday when the three men -- one of them carrying a bat -- got out of a red Plymouth van and confronted the victim, who was walking on L Street. The men told the victim to empty his pockets, and when the victim refused a suspect hit him in the back of the head with the bat.
