- Frankzulla, on 11/04/2009, -8/+378Hm, I do have a vacation coming up soon.
- jrm125, on 11/04/2009, -8/+320Time to produce Out Cold 2: Blazing Cold
- jbradl, on 11/04/2009, -6/+280This appeals to me and I don't smoke pot!
- brad3378, on 11/04/2009, -5/+256Time to open up a Taco Bell franchise in Breckenridge
- bunghole59, on 11/04/2009, -7/+236Write a letter to the mayor of Breckinridge or their local newspaper applauding what the stand their citizens are taking on this issue.
- likeyehokwhatev, on 11/04/2009, -7/+196Sorry to be a negative Nancy, but:
"The measure is largely symbolic because pot possession remains a state crime for people without medical clearance."
:( - rmxz, on 11/04/2009, -3/+147Better - plan your next ski trip there and email the mayor and the city council and their local media the reason the reason why you chose them over Tahoe or Vail, etc.
- falconear, on 11/04/2009, -0/+143Baby steps man, baby steps. Add this to the fed announcing they won't be busting for medical marijuana anymore and it's a good couple weeks for herb supporters.
- Jpatano, on 11/04/2009, -3/+113not really. The city making it legal means that local cops will not do ***** if you have pot. the only way you will get in trouble is if you have the DEA raid your home, or you get pulled over by state police and you have some in your car. for the average person who smokes pot, these scenarios are unlikely, or at least easily avoidable. score one for the stoners.
- elTito, on 11/04/2009, -1/+109If you're in California there is a petition right now to get cannabis legalization onto the ballot. Once they get a certain number of signatures, we get to vote on it in a general election.
This is for blanket legalization for persons over the age of 21 (along with appropriate government regulation/taxation), not for medicinal use. Wife and I both signed it - look for the signature gatherers outside grocery stores/Wal Mart/Target/whatever. - hawkspur, on 11/04/2009, -2/+104Grumpy old people really like to vote.
- whosmav, on 11/04/2009, -4/+83Awesome spot to be legal!

- newes, on 11/04/2009, -1/+68Not really. Only state and federal police will enforce it now. you need to think globally act locally.
- ski11buzz, on 11/04/2009, -3/+65im proud to be a breck resident, what a glorious day
- torrange, on 11/04/2009, -3/+64Used to live in the county- just surprised they only got 72% support.
- Jough, on 11/04/2009, -2/+60I just read that as "Agreed minus More freedoms equals a good thing"
- Vinny128128, on 11/04/2009, -3/+59Agreed - More freedoms = good thing.
- CaliforniaEagle, on 11/04/2009, -2/+52Bring on the next multi-billion dollar industry serving pot smokers everywhere!
- meruru, on 11/04/2009, -12/+61Of course state and federal laws still make it a crime so the city law is completely pointless.
- WillWork4Food, on 11/04/2009, -5/+53Rocky Mountain High, Colorado!
- NJJ56, on 11/04/2009, -3/+50Misleading headline, still illegal to distribute or buy the drug unless from a medical facility and you have a card, at least its a step, cops need to stop wasting time on busting small time pot smokers, and worry about real crime (here in philadelphia, at least)
- analogkid01, on 11/04/2009, -1/+47"You bastard!"
- Soniti, on 11/04/2009, -0/+44You'd be surprised how much they actually get right about this town on the show, considering how little time they actually spent here.
- Soniti, on 11/04/2009, -0/+43I live about 30 miles away from Breckenridge, (on the other side of the pass), and I can honestly say I'm not surprised. I'm not upset- I'm all for legalization. Looks like I have found yet another reason to leave South Park.
- driverdave, on 11/04/2009, -2/+44i live in breckenridge.
this is kinda non news, since cops around here don't really arrest anyone for possession of marijuana.
still, good news anyways. drug laws are idiotic. - carass, on 11/04/2009, -1/+40Dugg for being posted 4 hr 20 min ago.
- MindStalker, on 11/04/2009, -1/+38But it shows the community support for it. Which should theoretically help direct the actions of the local police. State/Federal on the other hand won't be so swayed.
- mparker21311, on 11/04/2009, -3/+40I cant wait until they die off so we can see real progress.
- Bajinabass, on 11/04/2009, -2/+33Skiing, Weed, Black Taco.
- MeLikeyTacos, on 11/04/2009, -3/+33Hmm, how's the job market in Breckinridge? My contract is almost up :)
- ZackScott, on 11/04/2009, -4/+33But will they ever legalize snow or ice?
- Snoogs, on 11/04/2009, -2/+31This thread: "I'm cooler than you because I smoke more pot than anyone else".
- MattB123, on 11/04/2009, -4/+33I'm sure they'll miss you.
- Chahrlie5, on 11/04/2009, -2/+29I know where I'm going skiing this winter.
- photochopped, on 11/04/2009, -0/+27And the direct to dvd sequel Out Cold 3: Frost Bites. It has Cuba Gooding Jr. in it.
- Flashtone, on 11/04/2009, -1/+26Even better - pass the joint to the mayor
- falconear, on 11/04/2009, -0/+24Umm, a couple weeks worth for the average smoker?
- Taiyoryu, on 11/04/2009, -0/+24If state and/or federal enforcement increases in this local jurisdiction (I'm guessing that it's low right now), then I would read those actions as a sign that it's not about the law or protecting the public interest. It's about the money and it's about the power.
- Zomgondo, on 11/04/2009, -1/+24This mountain is PURE SNOW!!! Do you have any idea what the street value of this mountain is?
- cmsjustin, on 11/04/2009, -1/+24I've been there. Every pizza shop has reggae music and white dudes with dreads working there.
- jsffive, on 11/04/2009, -1/+24Good. They don't need you.
- AngelBunny, on 11/04/2009, -1/+22This appeals to me because I'm for scientific fact over politics and big business.
- codyraymulcahy, on 11/04/2009, -1/+20You should do stand-up.
- sodade, on 11/04/2009, -1/+20As long as it is illegal to actually grow a ***** plant, pot will be illegal. Wee - so I can posses under an oz - I still have to buy it from criminals or be a criminal myself to grow it.
- dagnabbit, on 11/04/2009, -2/+21Unfortunately, it just went to pot.
ba dum CHA! - the2989, on 11/04/2009, -2/+21So don't get pulled over by the statees, and you'll be fine!
- ElkorAlish, on 11/04/2009, -4/+22So is idiocy, we haven't made you illegal though....
- bdbr, on 11/04/2009, -2/+20Aren't most policemen local, not state or federal?
